| Ever since the erstwhile Kkusum, Nausheen Ali Sardar, admitted that she and film actor Vikas Kalaantri (Nayee Padosan, Dil Bechara Pyaar Ka Maara) were no longer a couple (hitList, September 28 and August 1), Nausheen has had to face a barrage of rumours.
There has been the constant buzz that she became friendly with Kalaantri only to make a career in films. And, that Kalaantri gifted her the house in which she stays. We are still friends
"It's strange that these rumours are doing the rounds. I don't know what to keep on talking about Vikas and me. I admitted that we are no longer a couple and I don't what to say anything more on that front. All I can say is that Vikas and I are still friends. There is no animosity whatsoever towards him." He did not buy me a house
What's upsetting Nausheen is why all this gossip is doing the rounds. "It is ridiculous for anyone even to think of such things. How can anyone say I became friends with Vikas for the sake of a film career for myself? It's ridiculous! As if to say Vikas was doing a big filmmakers' project, and this would, in a way, help me."
But what's irked her the most, is the buzz about her residence. "People are saying that the house in which I stay was bought by Vikas. This is untrue. Vikas did not buy the house for me," says the actress who was last seen on the small screen in KalChhakra (Star Plus). Celeb anchor
Nausheen, who is now determined to focus on her career, is looking forward to her role as celeb anchor in the Diwali special episode of Crime Patrol (Sony). "I shot for Crime Patrol on Wednesday. I am anchoring this episode along with Shakti Anand.
It will be aired on November 4 and will have incidents related to crime during Diwali," she says. Incidentally, Nausheen began her career as an anchor. Earlier, Nausheen shot for a T-Series music video directed by photographer-turned-director Jayesh Sheth featuring a new singer Harminder.
The actress is also looking forward to another television project and her film, Do Dilo Ke Khel Mein, directed by Akash Pandey, which stars Rohit Nayyar, Dharmendra and Om Puri. shaheen@mid-day.com |
