What is your favorite genre?

Good Movie is good movie, regardless of the genre. But most of the times, we have a preference for a particular genre. Even if the movie is good, but if you are not a fan of it, you will not enjoy it or like it. For example, I never got the excitement people have for horror genre. I find horror movies boring especially if it involves ghosts or supernatural theme. Serial Killers or psycho killers are still fine for me, but ghost/zombies/vampire movies really bore me. Anyways back to topic, there are certain genre which excites us, and we watch the movie regardless. I do like romantic movies, thrillers, drama, comedy, musicals, realistic movies, social dramedy, sports drama, psychological thrillers and so on. But my favorite genre is the masala South genre, where the plot is most of the time basic. You have a hero who can beat 100 guys alone, a villian who is cool yet disgusting, a beautiful heroine, bunch of comedians and lots of action, comedy and thrill accompanied by romance, emotions and charisma.

Though my preferences keep on changing from time to time depending on my mood but one thing I have understood that my all time favourite genre is Neo-noir.

Favourite- comedy, thrillers, animation

Slice of life,court room/investigation drama, psycho drama ,magic realism.

Less larger than life stories and more films about the human condition

Action movies of course and Suspense Thrillers. I like Drama and Patriotic films but I'm more attached to the Action Genre & Thriller Genre.

That's why I'm a DIE HARD Ajay Devgan, Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty & Sunny Deol fan.

Psychological suspense /thrillers, those that keep you on the edge of the seat throughout...

Any genre but horror. Horror is lame genre where it's just suppose to scare audiences. We've got enough scary theme parks in NZ for that.

Mine is horror/suspense/mystery/crime and psychological thriller basically dark stuff. And Animation of course. I can watch anything related to these genres barring indian movies.
