whether its DKDM or MK...there is always a question in my mind and there is no answer to it...bramha...vishnu...shiva knows what is going to happen in daksh yagna...why didn't they stop it...i know shiva did stop sati but she was stubborn...she got stuck into human desires since she is born human even though she is adishakti...but the tridev knows what is going to happen...why didn't they stop whatever happening in the yagna...yes shiva is binded by sati's promise but no promise is bigger than love and life...he could have break his promise just to save her and also convince her how much he loves her if anything happens to him...he will loose himself...but knowing everything...all 3 were silent and let sati die...shiva went through the pain of loosing his wife...loosing himself...is there any reason why the tridev let sati die in the yagna when they could have stop it...
if only sati was saved...shiv-sati love story would have been complete...shiva would not have went through the pain of loosing his wife...loosing himself...that period was so painful...

such a difficulty he got his love...he loved her all his life...births...before the world created...after the world created...he waited for her for so many decades...just for her happiness...safety...he hide his love...he easily let his wife die...the tridev could have stop it...

Vishnuji was called to guard the yagya. Daksh was his big devotee. He took promise from his aaradhya. Vishnuji later faught with Veerbhadra but lost as he was on wrong side.
The back story is, on Brhmaji's instance, Daksh did penance to get Aadi Shakti as her daughter. Her boon was- She is taking birth to marry Mahadev. If Daksh insults Mahadev, she'll leave him. So as per her boon, when Daksh stated insulting Mahadev, she decided to leave her body, who's father was Daksh. Ending all the physical ties, attachments with him. Daksh always gave importance to physical appearance.
This event was destined, so Brhmaji & Vishnuji couldnt do much.
Daksh was Brhmaji's Manas putra, He warned his son, but arrogant Daksh refused to understand.
This is just a story. According to high level in Spirituality, Shiv & Shakti are always together. They keep on parting, uniting. It's their Leela. This is very interesting subject.

Hi Mages,

You do ask a very good question. I think we are watching those Pauranik stories, as a soap and in the process the subtle message of this story is lost.
The story of Sati or Parvati, is that of a story of a Soul trying to merge with the Supreme. In simple words a story whereby limited consciousness merges into supreme consciousness ( hence why both Sati and Parvati are both humans, while Shiva remains the supreme lord ).
The story of Sati is pivotal in the merger of Purusha and Prakriti phenomena.
Daksha Prajapati , is a progenitor or propagator of the universe, hence why he is an ardent devotee of Lord vishnu ( the preserver ) and a staunch enemy of Shiva ( the destroyer) . This clash is obvious as it will be impossible for someone who is meant to propagate the universe to make friends with the destroyer ( hence why they are stark opposites)

Shakti or creative energy is supreme energy and hence it is important that she is in the hands of someone who deserves her.
She is born to Daksha to aid him in his task of propagating the universe, but when he is engulfed by the darkness of EGO , it is then that she decides to immolate herself thus leaving him.
Eg: lets take nuclear power, what will happen if it falls in the hands of negative elements, terrorists for example. So similarly Shakti in the wrong hands will only result in total annihilation, hence why sati leaves Daksha.
The story doesn't end there, cause when Veer bhadra beheads Daksha, he is then revived and given a Goats head. So his ego filled head is destroyed and a goats head is indicative of how animalistic this man had become. Daksha then realises his mistake and turns into an ardent Shiva bhakta.

The tridev dont stop Sati because they too know that this energy ( shakti ) is dangerous in Dakshas hands.
Yes you may say but she left his house after she married Shiva. But the fact remains that she is still dakshas daughter and has a genetic connection with him. So he can still tap into her energy and use it for the wrong purposes.
Thats why she says that i am connected to you through this body and hence it is essential that this connection is destroyed , hence therefore why she immolates herself.

I hope this answer your question.

Shiv -Sati is one of the most romantic stories of the Puranas ( while being riddled with a deep philosophic meaning) . So its important that we watch them for the lesson they are trying to teach.

Also Shiva and Shakti are inseparable ( she is his shakti) so yes he pretends to cry and does tandav etc etc, but in reality shiva is forever undisturbed from deep within. He is only acting a husband who has lost his beloved. It is only an act.

Also the makers of the show , haven taken a lot of creative liberties and added too much mirch masala to just garner TRP's IMO. So for somethings you need to just take it with a pinch of salt.

i hope i make sense

thanks , Chitra
