Aamir Khan - in Darr. He was to play SRK's role. There were reports/rumours for long that Aamir had rejected the role 'coz it was dark. However, in an interview he had clarified that he had not rejected the role, he was removed. Because he had asked for a joint narration of story with Sunny Deol. According to him, initially director had agreed, but then later declined.

There were a lot of hit films which were offered for Madhuri Dixit or were specifically written for her. Which she could not do due to dates problems mostly.

1. Darr- written with MD in mind.

3. Ishq- Juhi Chawla's role.

5. 1942- A Love Story: probably the most controversial one. Apparently, initially Madhuri could not find dates. But when she did, VidhuVC didn't. Its said then he refused to give her the money she charged; and said she lacked dedication. She'd even done a look test; pics available online. years later Javed Akhtar had admitted that "Ek Ladki ko dekh..." song was written by him keeping Madhuri Dixit in mind when she was doing that film. Not sure, but read somewhere she was even re-casted without being informed initially.
