out of all varun turned out to be the most surprising.. in the beginning he was mocked so much expected to go nowhere...i felt the same way about him too... if he starts getting bigger you just watch to see how things around start to change...the audience who watches him will be called all sorts of names and their class will be judged.. and if he has one flop, then the mocking will be even more.. its better if he is underestimated than to be overestimated... i dont like him.. i was never a fan of him, but i won't deny he looks like he is going places...

The same people who assume that here people wont know about HW classics are the ones who mock at him. And why not ? After all his choices are not classy and mostly desi, movies like HSKD or BNKD or ABCD 2 didnt need audience to lend Einstein's brain for 3 hrs 😆 and yet they simply did wonders becuz they were full story, good acting and nice songs/dances.


I know what you mean about SOTY. Yes I didnt pay attention to both Alia and Varun (my eyes didnt even go to Sid sorry not a fan 😆 ) but when I watched the movie after 2 yrs of releasing, I found Varun to be most promising out of 3. Who in his first movie can take such an anti-hero critical role which was more layered than the role of the actual hero Sid's and still make an impression on the audience 😲 . After I saw that movie I knew he out of all was here to stay 😳 And I am so happy to see him doing variety of roles and has good script sense. Todays most movies have problems with a half-baked script. But not sure if it's Varun or his luck that most of his movies have proper and complete story. I like that. Reminds me of 90's movies. :)


P.S - Alia didnt impress me till then at all though 😆 Never thought would become her fan one day too 😳

even i watched soty again recently and the entire time I was rooting for varuns character rohan despite him being a rich spoilt brat playboy which is weird bcoz the other guy plays a lower middle class orphan

Both RS and VD are capable of doing all types of roles, hence both have better chart than the so called next big thing of BW with 5 flops in last 6 movies 😲 😆 and they both will survive long enough as they deserve whereas RK might start trying to find himself in real life as well just like his movie characters 😆
