The biggest ever megastar is AB Sr...I mean you had to be born in that era to experience it...My father was a huge fan of AB Sr...and trust me there can never be a craze like there was for AB Sr...what we see for SRK and Salman is not even a small percent of that craze...this is the reason that even now...you see glimpses of that craze when the crowds gather outside his home...so definitely that stardom can never be replicated...but the 3 Khans, Akki, Hritik, Ajay are all superstars in their own rights...among the females...I think...Madhubala, Sridevi and Madhuri were the superstars at their peak time...but sadly they couldn't sustain it...like the male superstars do.
and yes...the era of superstardom is definitely over...not because that the younger generation is not worth it...but because the way cinema works now...its not weeks after weeks of a movie in theaters...its for 2-3 weeks then its out...its all very fast...and so its just stars...not superstars...all superstars gone bye bye..

very well said. and yes my father also big big big fan of AB Sr. He is my father's idol. i have heard in college days he used to call as Amitabh by his family and friends. unki tarah hairstyle, fashion, his walking style sab follow karte the. tbh in my childhood I had a weird thought Amitabh Bachchan is my grandfather 😆 coj my father looks like him actually. abhi dekho toh nahi but bachpan mein woh bhi Amit ji ko follow karte the, main bhi choti thi toh yeh thought aa hi jaate the. and my father is also tall and face shape bhi same hai. and aj bhi Jo crazyness main dekhti hu in him for AB, uske samne seriously Khans fandom kuch bhi nahi
