I think Barun's current potrayal of Advay is apt. From Advay's POV his only emotions are centralized on revenge, pain, angst, grief et cetera. What he does with Chandni is a sham right? It's an act within acting and that doesn't need to get so real. He puts in adequate amount of uncertainty and insincerety in his positive emotion potrayal on screen and I for one am quite appreciative of that. That he is trapping Chandni reflects. His potrayal of antihero reflects.
He is an emotional person dealing with trauma, not a person who is angry and pensive all day round. I have found that Barun excells in scene of angry and emotional outbursts and there are very less amount of those scenes in the show.
So yeah I have no issues with Barun's current potrayal of Advay.
And Papad Ka Tukda is also cherished.😳

If we say that he is a director's actor than I agree with you that we should ask them to let him make us fall in love again, as you say.

To me it looks as of no one agreed on what show to make, the producer had one idea, the PH had theirs, then the channel added what they thought was the best direction to take the show and its story forward.

Who wanted it to be a dark revenge drama or who was championing a more comedy look at the "issues" of the leads' pasts? I believe that the negotiations that took place allowed for the story to move from the agreed outline into the script to be filmed. But the script can be changed due to outside factors: how badly the channel wants the show, how much profit can be made from it both domestically and internationally, response to initial feelers and early promotion. Then a small army of people is hired to bring all the aspects of the show into TV: the film crews, the art and wardrobe, the props, the editors, the marketing, etc.

Show starts and, the first audience data is out, the story changes. then two weeks later the story changes again. I don't know how the actors can act when the script asks them to forget what was asked of them the previous week. It all reflects down to the construction of each episode, the disjointing of scenes, the mishmash of the music, the need to forget logic and being asked no to concentrate on things that make the acting and the episode enjoyable and loved. I don't know if that was the last change or if it will change again to appeal to a broader demographic.

Actually they have a strong thought but lack execution skills.
Barun and shivani are perfect

But their idea is not delivering to us properly.
The best episode so far was that pp baba intro..😳..that episode was good in terms of direction, screenplay ,and obvious acting and dialogues.

Direction lacks in this season.

IMO,everyone knows what Barun is capable of doing and hence they are expecting that to happen And that to asap in the show...this is for one year and unlayering will be done slowly...so patience

The problem as it appears is that they are not able to decide which path they would take...for ex take advay...he was on a revenge path in early episodes and wanted to destroy her...how would a girl react knowing very well that advay is here to torment her ...and r...who would agree to marry him...

Honestly speaking the actors are holding the fort right now and screen play and script have to taken care of asap

I think a lot of focus on his character is also a problem. Each frame has him in it one way or another ... not any solid sub tracks...and all his interactions are with Chandini or ppl related to her ... is own character is a bit lonely and unknown... lack of character details and relationship makes it hard to explore more than this couple of emotions he got for chandini and her family...

I will go and start binge watch the "show which must not be named" again and see :D

Although having Barun on screen for the most part of the show is delightful, I wish there was more interaction between the other characters, or between Advay and others.
It is a bit odd to always see the rest of the cast members standing as spectators, with everyone dressed in the bluest of hues, episode after episode. For me, it is distracting and takes away from a complete focus on the progression of the story.
This is the third Hindi TV show I've watched with interest. Even with my negligible familiarity with such shows I can say that this one lacks the crackling chemistry between all actors that we saw in IPK 1 or the intense love story Sanaya shone in a few years ago. But I'm really interested in seeing how the show develops. Barun and Shivani's pairing is growing on me and I just hope the show gets back on track.
