Gul Maiyya aapko jai ho. Please do what ever you want but please please please give us back our actor Barun. Many of us r still watching this train wreck only for him. This was the guy who made me fall in love with the idea of falling in love. He can emote even without lambe lambe dialogues. yeah he mumbles some times but that only added to the charm of the character on screen.

The right mix of anger, angst, affection, helplessness, love, pig headed stubbornness, swag, arrogance, smexy, naughty, hot, passionate. We got to see different gamuts of emotion brought to life on screen by this guy.

I cant take this day in & day out of Garfield smirk now in THRITIYA.

Please Gul maiyya all we are asking is for a decent screenplay & solid direction. Is that too much to ask? This guy can act DAMMIT. So give his role some meat. Give us a chance to give this show a chance.

We will bog chadaofy Lucknowi jalebis & Allahabad pedas. Humari prarthna sun lo meri ammi!

GIVE US BACK OUR PAPAD KA TUKDA.

He is already there
The scope needs to come for him to show emotions
Right now he is in romancing and rabba veying mood
But I liked the way you wrote the post

I binge watched 30 episodes of PRATHAM over the weekend.
A simple scene - ODB hugging LA and staring at crying HAPPY in disbelief.. I might have watched that scene at least 50 times, yet YET YET I got goosebumps when I watched it on Saturday.

This comparison is not to prove a point about this season, but it about what product Gul is capable of producing and what kind of an actor she has in her kitty.

He is not meant to be a flower-pot or to be used as a sex-symbol. He is capable of emoting even those minute things that a lot of actor cannot even think of.

Did you see the latest promo ? Did you, even for a second, feel the conflict of emotions between Dev and Advay ? Dev who once was Chandu's everything and Advay who is here for revenge ?

I still cannot blame him completely, for I know, his acting is not bad in this one... What's missing is a chance for him to PERFORM.

Back in 2008, when LRL was aired, I was 200% convinced that no other character on TV could affect me as much as Rajveer did, then this goofy mango boy easily became my absolute favorite... It's been 5 years since then and I am still waiting to find another one like them 😔

@TM:- I think Barun is doing an awesome job here in this installment as well. The only issue is you are comparing to Barun's portrayal of Arnav/ASR with 400 episodes to Barun's portrayal of Advay/ASR with 21 episodes. Here Advay is not someone who is straightforward - He is someone who is calculative, who is a charmer, who knows what he wants. There Arnav was a blunt person who didn't even think twice about what he was doing.

Just like over the journey of 400 episodes we got the shades of Arnav out slowly one by one here too we will get the shades of Advay out one by one. But if you say compare his classic scenes of IPK1 here with what Advay has till now you are going to feel incomplete only because Advay's story is still being unraveled to us.

Apart from the costumes issue and some minor editing glitches I feel Advay is a much better character for Barun - And yes Barun totally shows when he is Dev, when he is Advay. The split second change in the character is being done with finesse by Barun here.

I suggest you take Advay character as a stand alone character and see his growth - If you compare with some thing that has 400 episodes done you are going to always feel that Advay is not good whereas the truth is Advay hasn't yet been revealed to us completely. It is just like you have read one whole book and know what has happened and why and you are reading a second book by the same author but you are complaining that the story is not complete after reading 20 pages - Doesn't make sense does it.

And my personal opinion - I think Barun has improved a lot over the past 5 yrs. I found Barun stiff in initial few episodes till he got an hang of the character Arnav but here he has been acing it out of the ballpark since the episode 3 when he steps into his house. That is the difference in Barun I feel after honing his skills under good directors.

There should be more emotions/scenes than just romance right? For eg i like his warm rapport with his valet & the spy gal. Why are they not showing other interactions. He has a scorching chemistry with Indrani. His bromance with Chirkut also is so nice. Why cant they show all this?

PS BTW what is ur name 😳

Honestly I am feeling bad for this guy. Cant stay angry with him for long. He has talent but he is a director's actor. So unless the direction & screenplay is good he doesnt ve a chance to dazzle us with his emoting 😭

Very well put yaar but you said it yourself. In PRATHAM initially Barun was wooden. But his acting changed post the rain hug/car crash scene. By the time PRATHAM ended Barun the actor had arrived. So he no longer needs time to get into the groove. Anyway 1 mth of Advay should be enough. I still say that the problem is with writers & director. That is why if u notice I ve addressed this post to Gul & not Barun. We all know what he is capable of. But the makers apparently dont & are using only his looks & charisma more than his acting skills 😭

Hi Angel,
I liked today's episode...but can totally understand where you are coming from...I think in the first scene that continued from Friday the editor used the same close up smile shot multiple times...so the smile seemed a bit fixed...But I do think today was not the day for him to be angry or be revengeful...He just succeed in putting his lal dupatta on her...and the girl is geneuily falling under his charm, which he can see...so if anything...what he feels right now is just a bit amused ...and that's that...

Him packing bags...without paying much thought to what or who caused it was a bit out of character though...I think after the ousting...there should have been more curiosity or dissatisfaction...not an easy acceptance...I do think that this is all very temporary and he will be in control of the situation in no time...This was a miss for the screen play writer through...

@bold:- Sush, What Advay did today was tactful retreat. He can't cause suspicion in Indrani's mind - not now when he knows Chandni is falling for him and Chandni is a puppet in her mother's hand. Chandni's so many proclamations of - Whatever Mother says has indeed showed Advay that Chandni is but a puppet and the strings are in Indrani's hand. That is why he packed his bags - Plus I do think Shilpa has told him what has happened as she took him away after Murli showed him the video tape. So today Advay was doing tactful retreat to come back the next day with proof and clear his name. That is why he tells in the precap that he didn't expect Chandni to play such a prank.
