Hola everyone! This story has been on my mind for months now and I didn't want to wait till Benaam Rishta finishes so I thought to pen it down. Real story begins after 4 years of leap which will be in couple of chapters. I bet you'll have fun reading! Happy reading guys!
Chapter 1
A bus full of teenage girls,stopped by Meheks house. "Mehek! Come fast we are running late!" Sonal who was Meheks childhood friend screamed from the bus. A 17 yr old Mehek came running out from her mama maami's house with her camping bags on her. Sonal scanned her from top to bottom with her mouth opened wide. "What the hell mehek! You'll go camping in this suit?" "If you want me to come then I'll only come in this anarkali or else I'm going back!" Said Mehek while handing her stuffs to the driver to load it in the bus. Sonal and other friends shook their heads unbelievably. "Ok fine! Now hop in we are late already!" Sonal dragged her inside the bus. Both friends sat together,sonal got busy with her music while Mehek went through a pamphlet on the camping ground they were heading to. Wild rose camping ground was based in a forest just outside of Mumbai,approximately 6 hours drive from where Mehek lived. "I don't know how I will stay in that jungle for a month.." said Mehek sadly. "Arey yaar tu akeli thori na rahegi! Hum Sab hai na Tumarey saath...now cheer up!" Sonal tried her best to console her friend as she had not travelled alone before or stayed away from family for too long. "Mehek,I have to confess something to you." Said sonal. "Hmm bolo." Mehek kept her eyes on the pamphlet. "I'm sorry my friend,I lied to you...wild rose camp is not just for girls only ..boys will be there also." Meheks eyes opened wide in shock. "What? Why didn't you tell me before? mami will kill me now! I'm not coming! Tell the driver to turn around and drop me home!" Sonal shushed her. "Dheere bolo Mehek...these girls will make fun of us if they come to know about this! Firstly,I lied because your mami wouldn't have sent you if I have told her the truth,secondly I wanted you to meet your crush,the handsome hunk shaurya khanna!" Meheks temperature rose and her heart beat far too fast. Colour rose to her cheeks and she blushed. "Oh he's coming there too!" That just slipped out of her mouth. Sonal chuckled seeing her in that state. "Shut up sonal! He's just a crush ...a secret crush which he'll never come to know about...I just want to have a glimpse of him that's all." Muttered Mehek. "Aur wayse bhi I look a bahen ji in these clothes,he'll never pay any heed to me." Thought Mehek sadly.
They arrived at the camp wild rose. Mehek grabbed her bag and stilled at the view in front of her eyes. Beautiful wooden cabins stood there surrounded with forests. "He will be staying in one of these cabins,I wonder which one!" She was interrupted by sonal. "Let's go check in girls!" 12 girls made their way towards the reception area. Management met and greeted them. "Please gather here in one hour for lunch which will be served in the dinning." The manager,a big fat lady told them. The girls collected their keys and left towards their designated cabins. Two girls got to share a cabin,Mehek was happy that it was sonal with her. Sonal was unlocking the door when they heard a laughter behind them. Both girls turned to find a bunch of teenage boys who were pointing towards Meheks suit and laughing. "Like Who wears a suit to a camp! Have you come to a wedding bahen ji?" A boy teased Mehek. Tears filled her eyes and she ran inside. Sonal glared angrily at them. They ran from there when Sonal picked up a stone and aimed at them.
The boys entered a cabin which was very different from the others. A much larger and luxurious one. This was specially arranged for the rich shaurya khanna! Yeah! The great Shaurya khanna! He was a confirmed bachelor and he intended on staying that way. Success was kissing his feet at the age of 25. He owned hotels and restaurants all over India as well as abroad. He was rich,proud and manipulative! He was a womanizer and his friends called him a play boy! He never believed in love,relationship or commitments. If he lays eyes on a girl,he will bed her and throw her away like some trash!
He was sitting on a rocking chair and playing with his iPhone. "Dude! Did you see that bahen ji?" Abhay his best friend asked. "You shouldn't judge a book by its cover!" Shaurya reminded him. "Dude,don't tell me she's your next..." Shaurya laughed and walked to the door. His dangerous gaze was on the cabin in front of him. He threw his phone up in the air and grabbed it! "Naive and innocent! I'm looking forward to play her!" He smirked.
Mehek had a long shower and came out wrapped in a towel. Sonal threw some sexy dresses on the bed. "Yeh Kya hai? Where are my clothes?" Mehek asked worriedly. "These are the dresses you'll be wearing here so that nobody calls you a bahen ji! And your pretty suits are up there!" She pointed to the ceiling. Meheks mouth dropped open! Her backpack was hanging from the tall ceiling! "I hate you Sonal!" She made a face and sat on the bed with a sad pout. Sonal laughed and pulled her cheeks. "But I love you meri Jaan! Now hurry and put these on,we don't wanna miss the lunch and who knows you might encounter your shaurya khanna there!" Her sad pout was replaced by a shy smile.
In an hour,Mehek was walking with friends towards the dinning area wearing a short sleeveless white dress. She was very shy and embarrassed by her dress. She was cursing Sonal for putting her in that state. Every now and then she would pull the dress down to cover her knees. "Relax Mehek! You are looking amazing!" Vandu,her other friend commented. Mehek forced a smile. "I'm not used to these type of dressing yaar...I'm feeling very uncomfortable." She said softly. "Don't worry meri Jaan you'll get used to it once you start wearing them everyday." Said Sonal.
Lunch was good. Mehek couldn't find Shaurya there. "When will I see you?" She said in her heart. Later,she and Sonal went for walk in the forest. "Sonal,Shaurya aagaya hoga Kya? I really want to see him once." Mehek asked while feeling shy. "He must be here,I haven't seen him though." Replied Sonal. Just then her cell phone rang. She got busy with the caller. Meheks eyes fell on a little white puppy coming towards her. A smile crept on her lips. "Aww ..come here puppy.." Mehek opened her arms wide and the little dog ran in her arms as if he knows her very well. Mehek was walking cuddling and talking to the dog when Shaurya's friends went past her on their bikes. "Hey look at her man! Is she the one I called bahen ji?" Asked Abhay as they all came to a stop some feet away from her. They couldn't believe it was the same bahen ji types girl they were seeing. Shaurya's bike stopped behind them. "Yeah that's her! Told you na! Don't judge a book by its cover! You guys carry on I need to chat with her..you know a little Intro and all." Shaurya said with a wink. Doing hi5 his friends left.
Shaurya turned to find her gone! "Abh yeh kaha gayab hogayee? Hawa nigal gayee Kya?" Shaurya's gazed searched for her. Mehek was hiding behind a huge oak tree and peeking. She was finally seeing Shaurya khanna! Her first crush! He was the most handsome man she has ever seen. Her stomach twisted inside and her heart was beating in her throat. His eyes flickered with amusement, reflecting sunlight as he looked around for her. The breath whooshed out of her body and everything froze for a second, as though she was looking at him through a camera lens, zoomed in all the way, the world pausing for that tiny span of time between the opening and closing of the shutter. He stepped down from the bike. "Hello miss! you there?" Shaurya neared the oak tree. Hearing his masters voice the Puppy ran from behind the tree and jumped on Shaurya's lap. "Hey...what were you doing there? Naughty boy!" He cuddled him and the dog licked his cheeks. Shaurya laughed while playing with the dog. All this was witnessed by Mehek,she couldn't help but admire their bonding. "If he loves a dog this much,I wonder how much will he love a girl he falls in love with?" She wondered. "Where's your friend little buddy?" Shaurya asked the dog. "Go get her for me boy!" Little puppy barked and jumped down from his lap and sped towards Mehek. "Oh no!" Mehek ran and hid behind another tree and another tree. This hide and seek continued and she found herself in deep woods. "Sonal! Where are you!" She cried. "Somebody help me please!!" She was scared to death as the forest was thick and dark. Tears formed in her eyes. The dog had stopped barking and there was no sign of shaurya too! She fell on her knees and cried. She was sad,cold,scared and deeply worried. A hand handed her a handkerchief,without looking who it was,she grabbed it and dried her tears,wiping her runny nose she was giving it back when a voice said. "Keep it!" Startled by the voice she looked up. Shaurya was standing there forwarding his hand towards her. He grinned. "Just give me your hand if you wanna get out of here!" "Wwhat? "Your hand, he repeats. "Give it to me. She slowly extended her shaking right hand and gave it in his huge one. His hand tightened around hers. A staggering shock of energy shot straight into her veins. Straight into her heart. He pulled her up to her feet. "There, he said but not letting her soft hand go. Her heart stuttered. He's holding my hand. Shaurya khanna is holding my hand. Touching it. His fingers entwined with mine. I've never held a guy's hand before and it feels good. So good. Warm. Strong. Awesome. And it would only be a million times better if the guy holding my hand liked me! Mehek said in her heart. "I'm shaurya khanna and you are?" He asked Still holding her hand. Mehek was so shy that she kept her gaze lowered. "I saw you before. It's a pleasure meeting you Shaurya. I'm Mehek...Mehek sharma." Shaurya squeezed her hand making her heart to leap. "Nice meeting you Mehek sharma! And sorry Did you say you saw me somewhere?" Mehek blushed even more. "Oh On tv..I watch your cooking show everyday ..I'm a fan." "Oh I see! I believe You like cooking. Right?" Mehek nodded and looked at his face briefly,his eyes were too intense to stare into for long. "Can we go now? It's getting dark." Shaurya nodded and led the way. Still holding her hand. "Hope you never let my hand go." She said softly. "Sorry? Did you say something?" He asked. "I was saying is that little puppy yours?" "Yeah..his name is Buffy." At the sound of his name,Buffy came running to him. Shaurya picked him up on his lap. "Hey buddy! Look I found your friend!" The dog made a happy sound and licked his face. Shaurya laughed. Well that laughter was hypnotizing and his eyes captivated her and she felt she was falling forward onto him. "So Mehek,what do you do?" She jerked out of her reverie. She swallowed to moisten her throat. "I just finished college,for now I'm helping in my mama's cafe ...as soon as this camp is over I'm planning on becoming a certified chef." She told him. "Interesting! Can I ask you something?" Mehek nodded. "Were you running from me miss Mehek?" Sweat broke on her forehead. "Pata nai!" She said. She saw him chuckling. "I also noticed,you never look into my eyes while speaking and whenever you talk,your face turns red like a plum tomato! Why is that?" Mehek felt a squeeze on her tiny hand that was still covered with his. Butterflies growled in her tummy. She wiped her sweaty forehead and said."Pata nai!" Shaurya burst out laughing. Mehek had no choice but to join him. Buffy must have thought these two had gone crazy so he left from there. Suddenly shaurya stopped laughing and looked at Mehek. "What happened?" Mehek asked when he leaned on her. She kept moving back until her back hit a tree. "Don't move!" Stay right where you are!" Mehek stilled. Her breath beginning to quicken. He was so close to her,his coffee breath steamed her face. "There's a butterfly on your hair." He whispered close to her ear,his hot breath tingling her earlobe. His cologne and deodorant was intoxicating. It entered through her nostrils and reached her soul. "I can never forget this scent ever!" She thought. Then his mouth pressed on her left ear,she shivered from his breath. "Gotcha!" The butterfly was inside his closed palm. "Oh!" Is all Mehek could utter. "Wanna see it fly?" Mehek nodded with a smile. Shaurya opened his palm slowly,the butterfly flew away when once his palm was fully opened. "Yay!" Mehek laughed and clapped her hand in excitement. She forgot Shaurya was with her,watching her laugh. He was lost in her for a second. Mehek caught him staring at her and she blushed. Embarrassed,she walked away towards the man made track. Shaurya smirked and followed her.
"Gees girl! Where were you? You scared the hell out me!" Sonal came running to her looking terrified. Mehek didn't answer. Sonal saw Shaurya standing behind her. "Oh toh yeh baath hai?" Before she could say anything else,Mehek grabbed her hand and walked towards the cabin. She felt his gaze upon her so she twitched her head to see. He was standing there watching her,Mehek smiled. He also smiled and waved. Blushing even more,went inside her cabin.
Later that night,Mehek couldn't sleep. Tossing and turning she thought about Shaurya only and the encounter in the woods. "Don't fall for him Mehek!" Sonal warned her. "I already have." She said softly and hid her face in the pillow.
In Shaurya's cabin,he was also having hard time sleeping. Mehek roamed his mind. This was strange. He had never taken any girl seriously but this one was ruling his mind making him restless. "Yaar if you keep pacing the room like this,I can't sleep!" Complained abhay who had fallen asleep in his cabin while playing cards. "Dude what's the matter?" Asked Abhay while sitting up on the bed and watching him through half open eyes. "It's that girl Mehek.. it's something about her... It's like she has some sort of captivating fire in her eyes. Sometimes she'll look at me and I feel like she's staring into my soul, reading everything I'm trying to keep hidden." Abhay walked towards him. "Bhai,take my advice ...let this one go! I heard she's 17 and a orphan...lives with her mama and mami ...her mami is very cruel who treats her like a servant. Any wrong move of yours will ruin her life bhai..." "wow! You did quite a lot of investigating on her!" Shaurya came out in the porch and looked at the cabin in front. "Her friend Sonal told me everything ...dude please...if you f**k her she will f**k your life! Mind my words!" Saying that Abhay came out of his cabin and walked towards his own. "We will see about that!" Shaurya smirked and went inside.
