Elena looked how bong girls from late 20s do when they start donning saree often, yet wear it in a very neat n measured way.Patpat kore pora we say😆
DP in piku represented many bong girls in early 20s.Me being one could relate to the Plazo kurti ,shawl on jeans n top, occasional bindi, stylish yet simple sarees .Also the parachute oil scene😳

@bold IKR. Spot on about the age part. I simply adored all her looks in Piku.

Thanks. I can't tell them apart

Riya Sen is very pretty too, IDK why they didn't make it big in BW

Uff tough really tough one!!

Deepika in Piku was ethereal. But I did not feel anything specifically Bong abt her look. She dressed like any urban working mature woman in her 30s.Still gorgyy

Next would be Ileana.Classic and Pristine👏

Vidya was perfection in Parineeta too

Next would be Sonakshi..

Ash looked like any made up SLB heroine.Though she looked like a queen, with those heavy jewels and blingy sarees, the simplicity of Bengali women went missing. Also the movie as a whole was badd compared to rest listed here though Ash acting was tolerable for a change.

Nothing about Devdas particularly came off as Bong at least according to me. If I didn't have a modicum of idea about it and I were to watch a random song of the movie, I would have never guessed it was about a story set in Bengal of British Raj. The sets were too grandiloquent, the costumes & jewellery appeared too modern to be belonging in the early 20th century. I know SLB focuses more on aesthetics than historical accuracy but these things looked really off & didn't really yield the true Bong feelings of the book.
