A strong story line like this cannot afford to have the lead players in action on all chapters. I thoroughly enjoyed Madhav's lover and dedication to his family, people and towards Malathi as well. And a nice strategy played to garner a kingdom on friendly terms and gain army strength for the battle as well.

So glad to see you back with a new chapter, Shailu. Hope things are well with you and your son.

Yey another fine update ..

Nice to see madhav being tactful yet respectful towards future FIL. Will we see more of malti & madhav?

It doesn't bother me that CN aren't present in every chapter. All your characters are interesting and have depth.

I don't think you need to relay on forced CN scenes to make us read your work. Such silly tricks are needed when there is no substance to secondary characters.

Madav commitment towards Magadh is praiseworthy.

Malti and Nandini are cousins and naturally he came to know about her beauty through SIL.

we can come to know more about Madav's nature in this chapter.

He is brave,handsome , well accomplished warrior who could defeat all in the swyamvar.

I dont know why,this Madav- Malait swayamwar takes me back to Mahabharata times.

It reminds me of Pandu and Kunti swyamvar. Though it was just a political alliance sought in Kunti's marriage. It was almost loveless marriage as Pandu loved Madri over kunti.

There also Pandu did not take Kunti immediately after swyamvar.He had to go to war or kingdom expansion.

It fits here.

Apart from that even Arjuna's marriage with Chitranganda comes to my mind.It was also somewhat politically motivated. But,it was far better than Kunti's marriage.

In those days Ladies had no say in matters of marriage and relations.

Chapter Fifty:

At a secret hideout near the fortress of Sitapur,

Amatya Rakshas was trying to convince a reluctant Bhadrasal.

Rakshas: Bhadrasal you have rendered yeomen service to Maharaj Padmanand by this act of yours. The mistakes you have committed fade in comparison.

Bhadrasal: I would have left long ago. But I was unable to go without telling you one last time.

Rakshas: I am glad you came to me after that fiasco. Whatever happened to Rajkumar Dhananand was only partially your mistake. Chanakya and Chandragupt wove a very deceptive web in which it would be impossible not to fall. When I left Dhananand, I knew that something like this would happen. But I had to make my choice.

Bhadrasal: I could not discover that it was a trap until the very last moment. I barely managed escaping alive from the pursuing soldiers of Maharaj Chandragupt.

Rakshas: But you have superbly redeemed things for us. You have rallied the dispersed soldiers around you. Similarly you did that on my orders which neither Chanakya nor Chandragupt would have anticipated. They took care of everything. They lured Maharaj Padmanand within the borders of Magadh and kept him stranded and cut off from all possible help at Sitapur. They eliminated Rajkumar Dhananand. They bribed Malayketu and his uncle Veerabahu over to their side. But there was one thing they remained negligent and blind-sided about- MAHARANI DURDHARA.

Bhadrasal: As I was escaping from Bhavanagiri and in hiding, I got to know this crucial piece of information as a godsend. I informed you about this. The rest was executed according to your orders.

Rakshas: Rest assured! Maharaj Padmanand will pardon you for your earlier mistakes and reinstate you in your former designation...Why...no...You deserve a promotion for what you have done. I will advice Maharaj to promote you.

In Patliputra in a confidential chamber,

Acharya Chanakya and Patrani Helena were discussing something.

Helena: It angers me terribly to think that we are feeding and dancing attendance over that Malayketu. I pity that girl Vishakha who had to become his bride.

Chanakya: You need not pity her. Rather your sympathies ought to be with Malayketu. He does not know that he got that girl as his bride who becomes a widow on her very first night. Vishakha is a Vish Kanya. Malayketu will not see the light of the next day.

Helena: Vishakha...a Vish Kanya?

Chanakya: I did not inform the full truth on that day as the Rajmata was also there. I didn't want her to think badly about her daughter-in-law for what was her past. You have earned your respect and love in Magadh. That could have been tainted by mentioning the past. Patrani Helena, true to the promise made to you by Maharaj Chandragupt, you will have your revenge. Malayketu will receive his due this night for whatever he has done to you.

Helena: I am really overwhelmed that you thought so much about me and the promise to me. That was really the last thought on my mind.

Chanakya: True...you have conducted and dispensed your duties remarkably...But it was our commitment to fulfill whatever we had agreed upon...

Helena: Acharya...a moment...I sense somebody's presence...

She stepped outside the chamber to see who it was but found the corridor empty except for their own soldiers.

Helena: Strange Acharya! I felt somebody had been listening to our conversation...(After a small pause, she shrugged her head) I must have been mistaken.

The windows on that chamber rattled a bit and a slight rustling of leaves was heard outside. Acharya Chanakya quickly sprang into action, "Patrani...you were not wrong...somebody was listening...not there...but here..."

Lightning quick, he took a dart which lay beside him and blew in the direction from which the sound came. In the darkness of the night, they could make the vague outlines of a human figure flop to the ground.

Helena with astonishment and surprise writ all over her face, "How Acharya?...It was pitch-dark...It was impossible to see anything..."

Chanakya, without moving from where he stood, "SHABDH BEDHI! (Hitting the target based on the sound!)

Though it is very short update,the crispness of the story is intact.The story never slipped from the plot. Thank God,you did not change the flow of the story to accommodate Love scenes or senti dialogues between Chandini. Chankya and Helena discussing about Vishaka and Malay is very interesting. I also sympathize with our Malay.He is a good antagonist . It was well perceived update.
I loved it.

Thank you Avantika. My story has already stretched for too long. I wish I could complete my FF now just like you or Sangeeta. My son's vacations have started. I hardly get my tablet to type these days for my fan fictions. Even when I get, it is only for a very short while. Our laptop has honked. Thanks to my Bhasmasur Putra. I am writing a FF on Bahubali titled SHATRU SESHAM on Wattpad. Wattpad is much easier for editing and writing than IF. Notifications go automatically to those who have voted or added to their reading lists or commented on Wattpad. Even there my updates are super duper short.

Shailu, even I wanted to extend Blossom further,but unfortunately had to end it. Though I felt guilty about killing it soon,I have a hope that it will re surface in other sites like Wattspad. Like blossom 2.0 version. I wanted to add some extra twists and flavors and some bold seq... So I may add these there..

Dearies,

With the CN show dragging at its boring peak, our SS or FF will be an oasis for people to make a regular visit to our forum.

But Shailu, please finish this FF before the regular loyal viewers leave the Forum. Looking at the way things are moving in the Show, with it's new leap in progress, I am also one of those few who are making their exits. There's no real love or real hate in the love-hate relationship of CN anymore. It's contemporary saas bahu serial enacted by people in raja rani dress. I find that boring, esp with no history or historical bent to the story.

So, your kiddo kept his hand on the head (screen) of yr second IPad too? 😆 You and your husband has some patience in life to handle such an active child. Is he interested in Music and Books like you ?

He has become too active and naughty for comfort ever since we came to US. My kiddo loves books and stories. You'll be surprised he usually gives me scenarios and characters and I have to create stories out of them. The Bahubali Sequel which I am writing on Wattpad. He was the one who gave me the initial concept that it would be about Mahendra and Avantika's children, Bhagiradhi and Gajendra. I developed on it later. Similarly, there are a set of exclusive fantasy tales which I and my son share. They are our secret tales. They are about Suzie the Giraffe and Annie the Musical Reindeer.
