Based on the # of screen count that were assigned to each actor :

Salman > Tiger > Arjun > Ranbir > Sushant > Amitabh > Sridevi > Irfan > Ayushman > Shruti > Vivek + Ritesh.

How do they assign number of screen count to each actor ?

I understand it goes by supply and demand, but there are 4500 screen in India and 1200 overseas and if a movie invest over 100 cr, why can't they get more number of screens ? Is it conspiracy to keep A lister actor in demand ?

yeah its all politics, but theater owner make money by showing movie, festival weekend have great demand so they all want max share but by creating such atmosphere of unequal screen presence, they are not allowing new talent to emerge. this kind of unhealthy monopoly will eventually take them all down.

most movie fate r decided in 3 days, more screen will definitely result in higher collection.

collection of 4500 screen will always be greater then collection of 1000 screen even for disaster movie.

Number of screen counts can depend on the budget of the film
If the budget is low less screen count will be sufficient
If the budget is high more screen count will be beneficial
Along with this the popularity of the actor may also be taken into account

This is me guessing cause I have never followed this. I guess it depends on who is buying their movie to film in their theatres. Naturally they will want to go with the A listers first and then kuch bach gaya toh they will go for the rest.

Okay, my knowledge of movie business isn't completely accurate so pardon me if I get something wrong,
But what I know is, A movie's verdict depends on the distributors share and not the budget of the movie. If a movie is released in a large number of screens, then that means it's sold on a high price like in case of Tubelight.

If a niche movie is released on a large number of screens then it'll result in less occupancy due to limited demand. Recovery will be difficult for distributors and the movie will be struggle to get a HIT verdict.

So number of screens is given based on the star power of the lead actor and the genre of the movie.
