Rashmi Sharma, the producer of the show Savitri Devi College and Hospital, slammed the bell calling for the director.
"Have you read the paper today?" The performances of the leads, backed by experienced veteran actors, is a huge thumbs-up for the show though the backdrops are plain hilarious.
While fans and critics rejoice at the comeback of some very talented artistes, they are united in wishing the hospital looked a little more like one.
Verdict: We sincerely hope the makers would put a little more effort into mellowing down their garish aesthetics if they want to keep the show from sliding down the rate-charts."So, what do you make of this?" Asked Rashmi. "So now I have to learn to design my sets from...who's this? Yep, Deepika!" She seemed to make up her mind when she struck again for the bell-boy. "Call her to the sets. Tell her I'd like a word."Deepika walked into the makeshift hospital interiors maneuvered just before her visit."Oh," said Rashmi, gliding over from behind a desk, "You've come. I've been waiting."Deepika looked at her, puzzled. "So, I've decided that you're to be our new set designer." "I thought you needed my consent for that." Deepika raised an eye-brow."And I thought you'd be the best person for job, given you've a flair for finding faults."Both ladies glared furiously at each other.Then Deepz sighed, "Okay, but you're paying me more than the IF peeps.""And, I get to fire you anytime.""Deal. And I need the shoot stalled for a couple of days."*A week later**Ring Ring* *Ring Ring*"Hello te shello ji!" Deepz answered.It was Yuvika, her friend from IF Daily. "So...what's up? Heard you quit?!""Oh yeah, I'm having the time of my life designing for Savitri Devi!""You've got to be kidding me!" exclaimed Yuvika."Nope. It's a dream come true darling! Aakhir meri awesome creativity aani kis kaam thi!" Deepz winked into the phone."Anyways, happy birthday! Should I come over?""Yes please, waise bhi no one here knows it's my birthday!" She sighed.*After an hour*A proud and exhausted Deepz stood smiling before the entire team of 'Savitri Devi...'. All actors and crewmen had expressed their wonder at the sets. It was just like Deepika liked- simple, spanning and breath-taking.Rashmi walked over, handed her their contract file and hugged her tight. "Remember I told you I could fire you anytime? I've changed that. Now you need to give us at least six months notice if you decide to quit. I think that would be enough time for me to make you change your mind or, better I'll make it eight months!" All viewers clapped for them.Just then, Varun Kapoor, playing the playful doctor Veer in the show, burst a cracker, and in a few seconds time, the entire set was filled with streamers and bubbles.Deepz gasped and went for Varun screaming about her perfect sets now 'destroyed'. Varun backed off behind Swarda, who played Dr. Saanchi and without warning she slammed a whole cake on Deepz's face. Yuvika ki bachhi, she thought, trying to be furious, but smiling all the same.The entire team of 'Savitri Devi...' were now holding up a huge banner that read:
