Remmeber the scene from Pride and Prejudice when Mrs Bennet is ecstatic about Mr. BIngley's status with an income of of FIVE THOUSAND pounds a year? Mr. Darcy of course has a sum of 10,000 pounds a year which roughly translates to today's 800,000USD...which is more than enough to pay 4 crores that Bituwa paid to bail out Sasu ma and family...😃

A TRIBUTE TO MS AUSTEN whose 200 year death anniversary is today...for writing more than 200 years back stories that still make heart and soul of modern day romantic dramas!

A heroine who has her pride and principles but no money and a hero who is prejudiced against the heroine for a variety of reasons...What doesn't change is that despite all that...they hopelessly fall in love...the hero bailing out the heroines family and family troubles at times...in the end winning the heart of the heroine...

Of course there are 100 s of variations to the theme...but the basic story remains what Ms Austen imagined so many years back!

While our Bituwa is no Mr Darcy...and far from it in manners and the vengeance he has for our fair maiden...the mother shares the quality of being worried about the money and (lack) of family fortunes and Bituwa shares the trait of coming through for Bitiya and her family...when there is no other option...

Mr Sobti continues to play Advay Singh Raizada convincingly...and his ability to flirt with the FL with his eyes is not paralleled by any other actor in any other role. This is what makes IPK's female fans crazy about the brand..Even when he is talking to the mom...his eyes follow the FL face to see her reaction...when she talks...his eyes have an amused expression...and when she barely touches his hands to point him to the wound on his forehead...his eyes convey the pleasure and amusement...while the face remains seemingly calm...

Ms Tomar is a breath of fresh air...with very natural acting...and the bonus is her character that asks the right questions...like "WHY does he want to help them?" "WHAT Does he want?" ...while Bituwa may have other motives...he seems to be enjoying the ride to get there...

A real stress buster...to transport women to the La La Land...where only thing that matters to a rich and powerful ML is the reaction of the FL...and the only one that really matters is her...Stuff of a fairy tale... even though the revenge plot/ the reality is anything but pretty...

Had she met Barun, she would have been inspired to write more novels... :)

He has got a meaty role truly this time...

I just hope that the story gradually veers away from 18th century beliefs and fixes itself in the context of 21st century where artificial rain is possible...:D...

Not able to digest khazana that opens with mantras... flying witches who are condemned... open murder and setting ablaze of people ...that too in the context of religious beliefs... and some unbelievable CGI animation of throwing a pencil on a lantern in the sky to burst it...

The cast is very good ...and with a good story line...they should be able to make a very good and meaningful show...and given that it is a finite series...hopefully they dont get bogged down by TRP requirements...

Ha ha...those are the parts..that she didn't write...😆!

Mr. Sobti would have certainly given a twist to her idea of an ML who was always so prim no proper...and oh so polite...despite the prejudice...

I think the very first Jane Austen's novel that I read when I was growing up was Pride and Prejudice and there was a show called Trishna on DD which must have repeated countless number of times. Yup Jane Austen totally knew of romance way back 200 yrs ago and Damn was she right in writing the books. All the other books on romance pale in front of Pride and Prejudice and both IPK1 and IPK3 have the characteristics borrowed from her book.

So finally we have the bitwa move in to the house and bitiya is not liking it even a bit. She is wary of him and does ask pertinent questions as to why he wants to help them. All in good time bitiya, All in good time. The taunts of Bitwa are really damn good - Who is the dialogue writer for the show ? On the technical side he/she is the plus for this team. All the dialogues be it of Advay, Indrani, Chandni or Shikha were spot on. I loved the dialogue of Advay where he says - Everyone finds a home be it a sparrow or an eagle and Barun delivers it spot on. He totally manipulates Indrani and now he is in Haveli. But Indrani is not a naive player. She is someone who can give equal takkar to Advay - I loved the interaction between Indrani - Advay. Both are subtle in action and these 2 ace the scene hands down.

Chandni is going to be in a roller coaster ride - On one hand this guy threatens her, hurts her and on other hand coolly proposes her for marriage. I want her to start connecting the dots and figure out that this Advay is her Dev and then figure out why Dev turned into Advay.

One thing is for sure - the writers do have a good plot hopefully the execution of it is also up to the mark. They have toned down the makeup - Hopefully they will tone down the costumes too.

Looks like Indrani and Bituwa both are counting on Bitiya to act a certain way...like what? While it is clear what Bituwa wants her to do...and it was spelled out in the precap...it is not clear what Indrani is expecting her to do,.,
