Jagga Jasoos actor Bidisha Bezbaruah commits suicide

Assamese actress and singer Bidisha Bezbaruah, who was last seen in Jagga Jasoos committed suicide on Monday night, according to Tribuneindia.com. The actress allegedly killed herself by hanging, in her sector 43 Gurugram apartment.

As per a complaint filed by her family, Bezbaruah was in an unhappy marriage. Bezbaruah had told her friends and family about her husband's extra-marital affair and the eventual disturbance it brought to her family life. Her father told Tribune India that he was talking to her on the phone before she took the drastic step.

Bezbaruah mentioned to her parents that she wished to divorce her husband, who she had been married to just for about 14 months. Her father then called up Jain, who is currently residing in Mumbai, asking him to go back to her. However, Jain hung up on him. After this incident, Bezbaruah switched off her phone and allegedly took her life by hanging.

The actress, had reportedly been suffering emotionally and often complained of harassment by her in-laws. Her parents, however, never thought she would be compelled to resort to such an extreme step.

The police have booked Bezbaruah's husband under abetment to suicide and he has also been asked to cooperate in the investigation, as per the same Tribune India report.
