Why is everyone blaming mastani?

I am new to this forum..but I have watched every episode of peshwa bajirao and bajirao mastani movie..why is everyone calling mastani desperate and psychotic! Mastani wouldn't have approached bajirao if he didn't give her his kattar! Inspite of kashibai being a loving and devoted wife..there was no similarity between bajirao and kashibai..and in that scenario he was bound to get attracted to mastani who was skilled in weaponry and dancing! Kashibai had no interest in wars or any politics..bajirao respected her but there was no love between them..while kashibai deserved better for being a women with a big heart..but there is no reason to blame mastani..because if it wasn't mastani one way or the other the marriage would have ended anyway!

Nicely execution.even baji don't like child marriage ,which Clearly shows that he also doesn't like his marriage with kashi . Another baji was great warrior & likes fights ,music & mastani Character beauty with brain & talented in many fields like swords fighting ,dancing so maybe d reason he falls in her love .everyone has ri8 to express their views but I didn't like y everyone is blaming mastani for kashi bad condition .baji is fully responsible for her condition even his family too. One thing more in this forum I read many post about mastani that she is bad actress , not beautiful ,no talent .my all criticizing ppl. Plz first look at ur self & one more thing channel n pH are not idiot .she won mastani role boz of her talent .even many actress gave moke test but megha won in 1round .I saw all her show very talented but many ppl thinks that she is responsible for kaashi 's bad condition if his husband doesn't like her as wife then y r u blaming to mastani . If isita does mastani role same happens with her too. So come out it is a fiction show and nobody doesn't know wat happened WD them .if you don't like megha /mastani then don't gv ur comments about her acting .. one thing In a week she got many followers on Instagram and Twitter & Facebook she is leading .while both her show came on unpopular channel .so plz meri behano mat do gaali otherwise ll soon a battle between mastani n kashi fans . .. watch d show if you don't like megha change d channel but don't get hurts their fans ...

why is it necessary for two people to be similar to be in love with them. can't a spouse/girlfriend be her person, instead of being an offshoot of you...

Shared interests.. that's fine... you can talk to each other about your shared interests and there would be some sort of understanding between the two. but sometimes even without shared interest people can understand you and what you are doing, why you are doing things and both the movie and the show does show that... that while not being interested in politics or warfare... Kashibai understood bajirao's motivations... she just worries for his well being as any wife would.

coming to the blaming mastani part... In the movie they had shown kashibai and bajirao sharing quite an intimate life until mastani came into the picture. the movie is still fresh in the viewer's minds... and the show seems to be trying to follow the movie..while the show hasn't showed moments between mastani and baji rao... however he is shown disinterested in his wife while thinking of mastani's voice.

also before leap they showed them constantly bickering... baji used to make fun of her constant crying... baji says he doesn't have any fond memories to think of about her. remember him saying that while his mother gave birth to his sister, his wife was responsible springing a new life in the child. she promised to complete the vow to god and rituals on his behalf and he promised that he would return back to her. they had started to admire each other and did share a few fond memories. he had started to admire his wife as a child... the admiration would have only grown bigger, if it did not outright turn into love. however after leap his disinterest with his wife, his awkwardness with her... it doesn't match the baji before leap, he looks like he is seeing an alien. he stands up for his sister, for a girl who doesn't know at the temple, yet he seems to be blind to the fact that he is ignoring his wife. and with the cvs juxtaposing mastani's scenes whenever kashi baji are shown... that is what is making the viewers annoyed and they are blaming mastani.

the cvs are trying to justify baji's affair with mastani by showing how they are so similar... but that's not how love happens... the cvs could show baji did love both his wives equally but the love for his country was larger and he spent all of his time fighting for the country... instead his disinterest towards kashi while thinking of a faceless girl whose song he had heard at a temple... nope... not agreeable. and if he was so disinterested in his wife... how did he end up having children with her... loving two people at the same time is possible... and i believe that's how the real bajirao would have also been... loving both his wives equally...

We really don't know how Mastani was in real life. We have historical accounts that describe it from a 3rd person's POV but we never got to see in person how they lived or what situations they faced. We can only base our comments on the fictional account and people should also realise that the comments are being made on the characterization we see on screen and not the actual people. I recently had an unpleasant experience when I commented on the show characters expressing my anger towards the makers and another person literally threw fire at me 😆

I really feel sorry for Megha and its sad she is being bashed. I never liked the character of Mastani personally going by SLB movie but I never felt Megha was a bad actress. She may not resemble a Persian beauty but its difficult to find a perfect fit for the role. I am sure there was more to Mastani than what we saw in SLB's movie and hopefully this Mastani isn't desperate like she is. Coming to the movie she was indeed shown to be a despo. It might be a tradition in her family to get married to a dagger but the context in which the dagger was given to her, it certainly didn't imply that Baji knew what was the consequence of his action. He was attracted to her and that was clear but he had no intention of pursuing her and on numerous accounts he tried to dissuade her reminding her that he already had a wife but Mastani did not care about it. I hope in the show Mastani is not portrayed so badly.

Coming to why many are angry in the forum is with the poor characterisation of Kashi. Kashi and Baji definitely shared a khatta meeta equation before the leap and Baji began to respect her and acknowledge her presence. I agree there are times when u get attracted to someone who is ur equal but to love somebody its not a mandate that the other person share your interests too. Yes its an added bonus for sure but its not necessary. Someone who is so affectionate towards a girl he has just met cannot be so callous when it concerns his wife, esp one who looks after his family. He seems to love even his horse but when it comes to his wife she could be non-existent for all he cares. They could have waited for at least a month or two before introducing Mastani or they could have taken a leap of 20 years where Bajirao was a Peshwa and was happily married to Kashi with a 10 year old son. At this stage they are shoving Mastani down the audience's throat and of course Baji Kashi fans will be mad at the makers (but its not fair to bash Megha for this I agree) We all know that Baji will get attracted to Mastani eventually and the audience was ready to accept that too but how can they accept what is being shown now? Back then men took more than one wife but how is it justified to showcase that one was neglected and good for nothing and since the husband never found her to be the soulmate he wanted just walked away?

I feel we are mixing up two things here the actual mastani and the reel character playing mastani...
what transpired in history is a fact and doesn't make any sense to distort the fact. Well Bajirao had mastani in his life and that's the story..he had Kashi in his life and he respected her...that's the story..
the point here is the character megha who is portraying mastani's character need to work harder ...understand the character ( i have read mastani to be brave, fearless, warrior) ..so megha need to do her homework very well, since there are high expectations from the audience and everybody who have played their characters have justified it very well...she too need to meet it up is all i guess is getting into the forum...its just a constructive feedback to ensure the quality of Bajirao is maintained and carried forward...i hope CV's understand this point..and i don't think the intention is to blame megha...its all about if she can gear up...nothing like that...this series will create history

You are making some rather outrageous tall claims here!

Or is your comment based on what you have seen in BM movie?!

This serial or any movie is never as important that you can just write anything on legendary respected characters. Do you realise you are making this claim about a Peshwa and his legally wedded wife? Who was mother of his children?

How do you know Bajirao didn't love Kashi? Did he write a diary which you are in possession of?! If yes please share.

Whatever your love for Mastani, don't degrade REAL Kashibai by making such claims.

Who knows, just like you seem to have taken BM movie and PB serial as the 100% truth, in future nobody should read your claims and believe them about Kashibai. A woman who raised Mastani's son was in a different league and deserves utmost respect.

Coming to PB serial, Mastani should not even be present now for 8 years. Btw where is the rule that if husband and wife don't share same interests there can be no love between them?!

I have been watching PB serial from the first episode. I don't know about you!

Those who have watched from start are really involved in ALL PB characters and care about them. Nobody has given galis to anyone on our discussion threads.

If the actors acting in serial don't mind the praise they should be ready to accept criticism also. It is viewers right to analyse and comment.

Mastani has no business to be in PB serial now, she is forced into story ahead of time.

Secondly I don't care about Kashi and Mastani actors personally nor do I care about Karan Suchak. I only care about PB serial and its characters, which PH and Sony had promised viewers was going to be about Peshwa Bajirao NOT Bajirao-Mastani.

So as a viewer who has watched from very first episode, who hasn't waltzed into forum out of love for love story or any actor - I am telling you respectfully to don't tell what viewers can or cannot comment or ask them to change the channel 😡

I completely agree with you . If my knowledge is Correct Mastani came in Peshwa Bajirao life when Bajirao was Peshwa

and he was in a campaign at Malwa reclaiming lands from mugals. Raja chatrasal of bundelkhand had sent him a message for help when Muhammad Khan Bangash had seiged the citadel and Peshwa came for his help.

This I think took place 10years after Bajirao became Peshwa and was having supreme authority in the Maratha court of shahu maharaja.

But the show has brought Mastani in Bajiraos life before all this this is total distortion of the great Peshwa era... How sad...😡

Exactly! Mastani was an important part of Peshwa Bajirao life and everyone knew she will be part of PB. What is extremely irritating is how and when she is introduced.

I don't know if you have read old threads on PB episodes. We viewers were as irritated with young Kashi given so much screen space. When it was time to show Baji's wedding nobody grudged Kashi presence.

There is so much to happen in Baji's life, become Peshwa, his political journey, his battles - this is what we viewers want. Kashi has to be logically part of Bajirao's life in serial NOW, their young married life, their son being born. There should be no place for Mastani now, especially shoved into scene every time we watch Bajirao Kashi scene.

They should concentrate on Bajirao and when his journey reaches that point in his life, after 8 odd years and Mastani entry it would be logical.

Mastani extremely excess screen space now makes viewers fear PB turned into BM!

It is Bajirao Kashi time now, Mastani time is in future.
