nothing confirmed yet, but the rumours r getting stronger about this, plus his spokespersn didn't deny it in this article, lets see if its true, according to this article it will be directed by Kabir Khan and produced by Phantom Films

Happy that Ranveer signed another movie but not sure about the movie. Don't think Kapil Dev's life had anything controversial.

its not really about kapil devs life, its about the journey to winning the World Cup, and ranveer will be playing the captain of the team Kapil Dev

its actually a great role for ranveer, its was the first time India won the cricket world cup, and like the article said the team were underdogs and they rose to victory to win the trophy, there will be alot of national pride attached to this film

Kapil biopic has the potential to be very interesting-He was one of the most exciting players.

This seems really interesting and will be a great project for him. Hope he does it .

My dad and mom are very excited about this project, Im sure people who grew up in that period would love to see this film. Kapil Dev as the captain worked magic with his team, they we indeed the underdogs and none expected them to even make the semis but we made it to the finals and people thought this was great and that would be it as WI had a powerful team with great match winners .

In the final India were could manage only 183 and none of the batsmen made considerable runs such was their bowling. WI and everyone else thought they had the game in control with the likes of Viv richards in their team.

India got early breakthroughs and some excellent fielding especially Kapil's running catch to dismiss Viv Richards helped India in a big way and KD used his bowlers well, rotated them brilliantly and he got back Mohinder Amarnath to bowl when WI batsmen were fighting back 6 down and Amarnath did his job well, claimed the tail enders.

It was something out of the blue the underdogs had won and that too at LORDS stadium, The home of cricket. It is one win that every other cricketer from the Indian team quotes . That win has inspired millions of people . It also changed the face of cricket in India,

I am sure this will be great, The whole story about the Game is as I have heard from my dad and mom, I have seen the match on cricket too it was a giant leap for India.😊

But anther biopic on another cricketer? So soon after Dhoni? Is this the best idea?😕😕

It a good movie for Ranveer. They should get the Chak De director for this movie.

I'd totally go watch it buy they really should keep the budget in control. These movie makers should be conscious of that now.

This has been in talks for a long time, i guess from around the time of BMB release , Dhyanchand biopic and Kapil devi biopics were being discussed, thing are materializing now i think. awaiting announcement from the production house now
