Maybe I shouldn't be, but I'm still surprised to read how often the discussions in this forum succumb to the same bottom line...keeping score on how much Shivaay did, how much Anika did...who deserves whom more...who doesn't deserve anyone anymore over supposed letting down in one scene😆.
In particular, I'd like to talk about the morphed video scene today and more specifically Shivaay and Anika's reactions to that...such a beautiful scene in terms of how much their eyes were speaking to each other in that scene...Shivaay looked stricken as he first saw Anika pick up the phone and view the video...she looks up at him and his eyes are pretty much pleading for her to know the truth...that he would never do this...that there is no one but her for him...and her eyes answering back with quiet but firm faith...that she knows this isn't him...there is pain in her eyes but faith too...posting some caps below to illustrate the whole conversation that was going on b/w them, without saying a word...
He rushes to explain
Rags jumps in to try and divert his attention her way but he is still unable to tear his gaze away from Anika, his entire being is focused on wanting to clarify to her
It was actually pretty amusing after a point that Shivika were too busy staring at each other to bother paying heed to Rags 😆
And then Anika stumps Shivaay by verbally declaring her absolute faith in him
There is some irony and bittersweet emotions at play here, obviously...Shivika's relationship broke over their trust not holding out in the face of adverse circumstances...they both failed each other...Anika failed in having enough trust in Shivaay's love for her and Shivaay failed in having enough trust in the Anika he knew, succumbing to the ruthless facade she presented one fine day...and yet in this moment, we see a return of that strong faith b/w them...there's the Anika who's always had absolute faith in Shivaay...he sees her and turns in surprise...it's been so long since he got to see that familiar Anika...it's an emotional feeling for him that stumps him...
The scene is also bittersweet because of how much Shivaay is instantly wanting to clarify to her, yearning for her understanding...and when he gets it, along with her fierce defense of him...he's still grappling with it all...
I'm not really sure what people are finding today to hold against Shivaay...that he didn't question Rags? LOL but isn't that expected in the overall drag this fake fiance storyline is? It wasn't a moment of letting down Anika or choosing an outsider over her...how can one even think that considering the fact that he rushed to clarify to Anika first...the very same Shivaay who otherwise is touting that he has a new fiancee is only consumed with wanting to clarify to ANIKA first...so where does he question of letting her down come from? 😆...in fact there is hilarious irony at play that his entire being is still completely consumed by thoughts of Anika...no matter how much he wants to deny otherwise.
The issue at hand is both Shivaay and Anika refusing to come clean with each other...Anika started the problem with her seperation drama but Shivaay is now in no mood to give her a chance to clarify aaraam se...it's a situation that builds on up of itself...but that doesn't mean this is about who did more for this relationship and who let who down...mistakes were made on both sides and they continue to be made even now...but to instantly jump to the conclusion that one mistake means that the person doesn't deserve the other...isn't that futile? 😕
Shivaay and Anika love each other deeply...to the point of being consumed by it in a sense...they have their huge ego b/w them but they aren't EVER keeping score about WHO deserves who more? ...they have grudges right now, sure...but that's a seperate issue.
Currently their eyes are communicating more with each other than their words...the words are something they are deliberately holding back...but their actions are betraying the emotions they feel inside...
One final point re: Anika and her insecurity issues...yes, she poured all of herself into loving Shivaay...but I wouldn't say she completely lost her identity...let's remember she still insisted on being JUST Anika...never took on the tag of his last name...fiercely cared for him as a wife but not in the form of some idealized TV bahu...the sindoor/MS dialogues aside, she was quintessential wacky Anika post marriage in many ways too...and it's important to note that Shivaay NEVER asked her to become some ideal wife or ideal bahu...she CHOSE to pour all her love into being his wife and the bahu of the family because that is her personality...filled with love and compassion for the ones she cares about...she let slide the disrespect she faced, not cuz she wanted to be an ideal bahu or wife...she let it slide cuz she LOVED Shivaay...she made allowances for him and his family in that love...sometimes at the cost of her self-respect so that was wrong...but again, no one compelled her to do that...she needs to realize her mistakes on her own and I think it's counterproductive to find scapegoats for this.
Shivaay-Anika are in the process of finding their way back to each other...rediscovering the faith and trust b/w each other and hopefully trying to build it up to be much stronger this time😊
