Beautifully written.
I have always loved any communication through eyes that has ever happened in films or shows. There is some unique beauty to it.

Kitchen Scene...
The scene where Ragini mentions about how they are a divorced couple, both can't help but SEEK each other emotionally. I guess it a surge of emotions there for both of them. Shivay has always maintained " jo humare beech me hai, who humara hai". When a third party points out the glaring reality, it pinches both of them. The seeking each other was beautifully shown. The consequence of the separation (leaving aside who did what as per whose instruction) is weighing down on either of them.
Both their hurt was visible on their face at that moment.
They are still connected to each other emotionally. Otherwise the guy who used to mouth dialogues like "I don't feel the necessity to explain myself to anyone', only seems bothered about Anika's reaction/hurt/emotion on watching the video.

Though I haven't read each and every response, I do get the feeling that Shivay shushing her up with " let me handle this, hasn't gone well with audience. But I guess it was just a reaction after Ragini reminded him about Anika being an outsider now. Just minutes ago she states the fact that they are now divorced. The next scene, she manages to remind him soon enough why Anika was speaking ON HIS BEHALF. So I guess, that was just a reaction from the basic frustration.

Shivay vs Anika...
I guess both are flawed and egoistic too. Ego plays them down. Their flaws define them. The reactions due to their respectively beliefs is what makes them tick yet they gravitate towards each other. Hurt each other, be for each other, take bullets for each other, concern for each other, goofing around which each other,
faith about each other, consciously/ sub-consciously, jo bhi sahi, par karna saath mei hai. It's their own little world.

I remember Anika once saying after their forced wedding that he'd realize how hard it is when other people decide your lives. That's exactly what she did too. He forced their wedding union, she forced their separation.
The makers have messed up storylines in the drive for ratings. But I must admit, the Shivay-Anika relationship growth has been very sincere and organic.

Disclaimers...
My appreciation to this scene is on a one-on-one scene basis. I am not showing support to forced weddings or forced separations in the way it was presented by makers.

Please note that none of the contents in my post above is intentionally whiny. I have no complaints. Its just my humble opinion as a viewer.

Brilliant insight into the Shivika relationship there. And I agree, both have made some serious mistakes, though nothing that a heart- to heart conversation can't fix. They need to communicate, but then, we'd have no show I guess.

This constant one-upmanship between the fans of Shivaay and Annika's characters I really do not get.

Keep writing and analyzing! It's much appreciated! 😊

Thank you! Glad you liked :)

LOL I don't think the show would totally end if they communicated...I can understand phases of lack of communication if the writers ultimately close the loop with some well rounded convos...case in point the jungle track...all of the build up before that when Anika was over-reacting on the NKK topic and basically picking fights with Shivaay...the fact that it ultimately culminated into this beautiful convo where they both spoke out clearly what they're feeling/grappling with...that was heartening to watch...

I used to really struggle to relate to Anika before a LOT, cuz she didn't have many real flaws and was the typical goody-two shoes female lead and Billu was made really grey to counterbalance that.😆 I don't really enjoy stories like that where the FL 'transforms' the ML with her goodness and virtue. I think it should be a two way street where both learn from each other. So I'm happy now that both of them are flawed and make mistakes. Another thing that I like about them that there has never been any real third party antagonist in their story (Tia, Ragini and others don't count in my book). They both are the real antagonists in their own love story and I like that.

And both have one flaw which I can personally relate to, being stubborn^tiffany and struggling to admit to having made mistakes (even though you know that you messed up). Gosh, can relate to that a lot cuz I hate confronting people (words don't seem to come out lol) and also cuz of excessive pride lol😛 Also really struggle with giving people a chance to explain themselves just like Billu just cuz I know that if I give a chance, I fear that I'll end up forgiving them really easily without letting them make up for what they did first and they'll walk all over me. So I can really relate here...excessive pride is not miscible with vulnerability.😆 The end result is a LOT of awkwardness and words you want to say but cannot seem to get out.

@bold: True, but unfortunately Indian TV is generally stuck on that flat line only...layering and nuance seems hard to come by.

Re: Anika's flaws...lol well I personally feel her flaws could have been shown in a far better manner than the half-baked khichdi we are dealing with but I guess this is the best we're gonna get when the writers are totally obsessed with SSO😆

Good point about Shivika both having the same flaw of being too stubborn to admit their mistakes...they both find it hard to give in...and they take turns giving in when the point even comes...usually when the other is being contrary...LOL...it rarely happens at the same time...but the writers usually do end up showing them having a convo where they hash things out sometimes...like the jungle convo...and the pre and post biwi announcement convos...it took a lot out of both of them to admit what they did then also...but they are capable of doing it...takes them time and they both struggle with their pride and their vulnerability in their own ways.

LOL when that scene aired, I never thought a day would come when ANIKA would be the one to be making decisions for him and leave him this helpless...I thought he would learn that lesson some other way...but seems like all his lessons have to happen through Anika only...LOL...but his flip in the wedding was still way more understandable cuz he was operating under a MU...while Anika forced this on him by getting blackmailed herself...somehow that makes it far worse...but anyways, in both cases the writers used a very contrived scenario to bring forth a dramatic twist...the problem though is that clearly the hate wedding worked for them vis a vis ratings and in terms of taking the Shivika equation into a new phase...while the seperation has backfired, with half-baked angst and a rush to get Shivika back together in the same house and back the usual...LOL

ROFL@ your disclaimer🤣

Yes, I know a lot of the pre-separation drama was totally contrived vis-a-vis Anika and agree that her flaws could be shown in a far better manner but I guess I'll just be happy with the fact that what she did wasn't exactly out of character. True, it was a lame and twisted way of showing her selfless nature, but she did have her own reasons for what she did. And yup, I'll take solitude in the fact that at least Anika is being given SOME level of importance here lol. I seriously think her character has SO much potential and SC as a performer can totally pull off different shades to Anika. If only the writers could see that. WORD on writers being obsessed with SSO. It's sad how women are their own worst enemies when it comes to progression.😆

Also, for some weird reason, I am happy that she caused the break up and not SSO and now she has to pacify him.😆 It usually happens the other way round.

The jungle track was instrumental in getting them to work the issues out between them and marked a big step in their relationship, IMO. So I think they just need some time alone to work things out without any intrusion.

Don't get too happy about that also😆...Knowing Harneet's lowe for glorifying Shivaay, she might just make him mess up again so that the whole situation will get twisted around to HIM apologizing again so that Anika can be the confused lallu that they like to portray her as and Shivaay can explain everything to her again😆...whether it's messing up or apologizing, everything has to come from Shivaay only...Harneet logic😆

This week is looking like a washout to me now given the totally boring Monday filler we got today...in this baby madness, any Shivika progression will be on pause again while they throw in filler stuff with the other pairs...lol I guess they are again forgetting which side the bread is buttered on for this show...chalo time will tell😆
