Kumar and Karan Johar was released with
the announcement that Salman Khan and
Karan Johar are going to co-produce a film
that'll star Akshay Kumar in the lead. While
there is nothing new in a lead actor backing
a film without starring in it, it was a first for
Bollywood, as Salman and Akshay are
considered two of the biggest superstars of
Bollywood. This was applauded by several
media houses as a welcome change and
Salman, especially, was praised for backing a
project where he won't be seen acting.
Some time later, there were several reports
that Salman won't be producing the film due
to his close proximity with Ajay Devgn who'll
be backing and starring in a film with a
similar story line i.e The Battle Of Saragarhi.
But Salman later quashed those reports by
sending out a tweet. Also read: Salman Khan

never seen before'
But now from what we've heard from our
source, the project isn't happening and even
if it does, Salman Khan won't be producing
it. Our source exclusively revealed, while
earlier the reason was said to be Ajay Devgn,
now there are other developments as
well. Here are the three reasons, Salman
Khan chose to opt out of the project:
The Fall Out With Manager Reshma Shetty
Recently reports of Salman Khan and
Reshma Shetty falling out and parting ways
was all over the internet. Well, interestingly
when the deal was struck between Karan
Johar's Dharma Productions and Salman
Khan's SKF, Reshma was the one who
coordinated it till the end. So while she isn't
with Salman Khan anymore, she is will still
be a part of the film, so Salman Khan
decided to opt out of it rather.
Tubelight debacle
After the under performance of Tubelight,
Salman Khan is not keen on being
associated with another film that is based
on war theme and is more interested in
films that play to the gallery. Also read: IIFA

Ajay Devgn Factor
And this was the main reason in the first
place, the fact that Ajay Devgn had
announced the film first on the same
storyline was acting as a roadblock from
Salman's side and now with other
developments being piled up as well, Salman
finally opted out of the film. On finding out
that Ajay's team was the first to make an
official announcement, the actor felt it
would not be ethically right for him to back
another film that will not just dabble with
the same subject, but also compete to be
better.
