"So what do want to watch? I asked putting the pen-drive in the TV. When no response came I glanced back and saw Shivay standing at the door of my room carefully scrutinizing every detail of my room as if vegetarian checking if it is paneer or chicken in soup!

"Abra-ka-dabara-Gilli-Gilli-Chu! Come Inside I motioned by hands as if creating a magic spell. Shivay looked at me like I ran away from mental asylum. I don't know it was his eye brows knitted together or his big eyes popped out that made him looked cute but definitely he did.

"Shut up anika! How can you be such a pervert! He needs you and you are making a pass on him!

I mentally slapped myself as I saw he was still staring at me.

"You know that it won't work right. You have to move your lazy legs! I chuckled making him come out of trance. I could see his lips faintly curving into a smile. He scratched the back of his neck and hesitantly stepped inside.

"As yes as I was saying what you wanted to see ? Before that welcome to my humble abode! I opened by hands in shahruk khan style giving him pleasing smile.

I was kind of proud of my room. It was not extremely spacious but was cosy with walls painted in my favourite colour purple and pictures of my childhood and achievements in cute frames. The feeling of full plush multicoloured carpet always gave me naked foot a beach type feel. The best thing about my room was my oval shaped bed with world's softest mattress. You lay down there and sleep will come bouncing to you!

"You have nice room. Shivay said caution-ally sitting on my bed.

"Do you have STD's? And my blunt mouth goes again. My mother always told me how blunt I was but how can a daughter listen to his mother!

"Mum NO! He defensively told/yelled.

"Then make yourself comfortable Shivay! Stop acting so distant! I know we just met but you have to come in terms that you are stuck in here for long and with me! I softly smiled after his outburst.

His features visibly relaxed. He smiled again and my heart did the best somersault.

"I am asking this 3^rd time! What you want to watch old man? I faked irritation and glared at him playfully.

"And I don't know . Whatever you like , teacher Sarcasm and smirk visible in his voice.

"So Game of thrones or friends! I said as these are my two favourite TV series . I mean from Chandler Bing to Jon Snow! I don't remember how many times I have seen those ! Once my mom got so frustrated and tired by me watching friends she decided to send me to some orphanage.

"What are these? He quizzically raised his brows.

"Holly Molly! You don't know what Friends or GOT is? I mean seriously! I gasped in surprise.

"No... He looked down nervously chuckling and admiring the floor.

"You are an old man ! I smirked.

"Thank you mother! You have been with me in every stage of my life. His voice laced with sarcasm.

"For a person who was about to jump from a bridge few hours back , you definitely are full of life! As soon as I recalled what I said my hands automatically closed my mouth followed by a soul piercing gaze and pin drop silence that was killing me.

I was about to apologize when suddenly saw him smiling and soon it turned into a fully fledged laugh! I looked at him confused!

"Don't look at me like that. You were happy and I am happy you treat this old man as normal being rather than a waste of space His words made me happy as well as sad. Happy that he didn't misunderstood me and sad that somewhere in his life line he was called that!

"Okay since you haven't watched either I will pick up. By the way what is your age old man! I winked.

"23! Just graduated. Meet engineer Shivay Singh Oberoi! You? The excitement in his voice was enough to decide that he really did what he wanted.

"22! Just about to graduate. Meet engineer Anika Sharma I mimicked his style to caught smiling again at night!

"Ain't you lady like! Telling me your age! He smirked.

You are doing great job Anika! 2 smiles and 1 laugh in one day! Not bad Not bad! I mentally patted my back. After awarding myself, I choose to watch friends. No , not because I like it more than GOT or something it was just that I didn't wanted to give him another idea of committing suicide!

[P.S.- Those who haven't seen GOT ,there is lot of violence in there though I personally love it a lot. I know sadist right!]

I sat on my bed and started making a pillow fort. When I was done, I signalled Shivay to come and sit next to me to which he gave me "you are weird look but still came and sat.

So no one told you life was gonna be this way

As soon as the song couldn't I couldn't help but sing along totally forgetting I had a company. I turned sideways and look at shivay who had a difficult time controlling his laughter! Did I forgot to mention my voice is worse than rooster crowing in the morning!

"Hey, don't judge me! I can't help it. Till the end of the series you will be screaming your lungs out like me. I covered my face to hide the blush/embarrassment.

The episode rolled over and familiar faces came onto screen again and again making me laugh like maniac and getting here & there chuckles from the old man.

"Just one episode Anika and promise I will sleep! Shivay whined liked a child. We have so far watched 6 episodes of season 1 and he wasn't satisfied yet. I gave hi I told you so' smirk and was about to protest when I heard something or let's say someone.

"Anika? Who is he? My mother's voice brought us out of cute banter. Shivay's face looked pale and my mother's face was blank. Then I realized that we both watched movie the whole night without even realizing it!

"Mom, this is shivay! And shivay meet my gorgeous mother! I went to her and kissed her cheeks.

Shivay extended his hand forward towards my mother which she hesitantly accepted and then looked at me for more appropriate introduction. You know Indian mothers Who, Why, When and shit!

"Mum, this is shivay! I met him yesterday night and i know you will be asking what is he doing here so let's cut it short and say he was jumping off the bridge and I stopped him. He didn't had any place to stay and thinking he might pull the jumping stunt again I brought him here. I spoke in one breath looking at my mother who was now examining shivay and about him he looked like a fish out of pond-desperate need of water or else die!

"You were committing suicide? My mom's surprised voice broke the ice between us. Shivay meekly nodded.

"May I ask why such a handsome young man like you would be doing that? My mom's comment made Shivay's cheeks go a shade of pink . Now I know from where did I got my non-filterable mouth-genetics!

"Beca-use I ha-ave no one to tru-trust me! He shuttered and that broke my hurt. And before I can comfort him he was engulfed in a hug my mama bear. The sight in-front of me was too sweet to digest.

"No, young ma. Don't say like this. You have us! I know you must be wondering that I have met you like 5 minutes ago and now saying this stuff out of pity but NO! I am saying this because I know my daughter! She won't bring anyone here. I trust her! And not to forget you give good vibes not a dacoit one! My mom's words melted both of our hearts. Shivay's eyes now had admiration for my mother.

But what shocked me and shivay was the words what my mother uttered.

"Btw consider me you long lost mom! But not your mom! Because if that happens you can't date my daughter as she will be your sister! She giggled and hi-fied shivay who returned back the gesture winking at me. I just glared at them playfully.

"Already ganging up against me! I see! I huffed but inwardly all I did was happy dance seeing the two people I admire being together.

My mom took shivay by his hand telling me to get some sleep and then freshen up till then she will show him guest room and make lunch for both of us!

After sleeping and then showering I dressed myself in my favourite hello kitty PJ's and jogged down the stairs. What I see was shivay helping my mother in the kitchen. He was trying to make a chapatti! I chuckled as every time he tried to make one perfect , each time he messes it up again making map of India and my mom would pat his back as if encouraging him to try suppressing a laugh but failing terribly! I didn't knew they bonded so well.

They looked happy. My mom looked happy. Most Importantly Shivay looked happy. I was back to earth by our land line's phone ring. My mom dashed out of kitchen for picking it up. Suddenly it clicked me. I ran towards the kitchen and made shivay face me.

"My mom! I huffed.

Shivay and my mother looked at me confused.

"She is the second reason. You love here! She loves you! And most importantly she trusts you! Is that enough for you to make you stay here? Anxiety filling my whole nervous system. I meant to ask him that "Here was not in this house but on this earth but I know it was too soon and too much to ask for now. His scars are much deep that won't just go away in one day. So I decided if he stays in this house I will be satisfied.

He looked at my mom who was busy talking on phone and then at me!

"Yes He smiled and embraced me in a tight hug.

A/N- The biggest chapter I ever wrote. 1839 words! *Phew* Not proof read. Point mistakes if any!😊

I hope the update was fine since I updated it in ages.😆
