The story of Ram is still appealing to masses in this country and clearly when the channel & PH chose a story line like this TRP must be the last thing in their mind!
But they counted international/ net surfers/elite sections of social strata who welcome radical stories! And that is evident also as the show is more popular in internet media than in the idiot box!
But the quality of show is very important factor to keep the net audience interested! It is just not only dependent on actor's performance but also needs a good flawless writing!
That may be one weak link in the making of this show as it lacks many a time depth & details, I guess!

@bold : I'd have to agree to that. But unfortunately Indian tv totally depends on d actors playing their characters right, because when it comes to creative writing all we see in India are a cut copy paste from various places, its like they decide a particular genre, collect the classics related to the genre at hand and dont even bother compiling them into a well woven story, here priorities are given to trps at the cost of quality of the content leaving us with nothing but trying hard to look at the brighter sides of the crapfest served to us
