Agree with you on the domestic violence part. It IS disgusting.
The CVs have given us something interesting to watch, no doubt. But how has this track changed anything between Raj and Preet?

And about Raj's character - only thinking aloud, NOT justifying his actions- could probably be because he cares for Preet, but hates himself for it and is angry with himself that he cares. So to justify himself, he ends up hurting Preet. He isn't a bad guy, because even when he asked Amba to be kidnapped, he did make himself clear that she should be safe and no harm should befall her.

The show has not progressed at all since Sakshi's entry. If someone stopped watching this show just after RajPreet's first wedding and started watching again now, they would feel like they haven't missed much besides RoSim.

They have managed to get their TRPs, I guess, but no value added to the storyline.

I'd be fine if the reason Preet couldn't leave Raj was because she wanted revenge from him
