When Beyhadh happened it promised so much. I wanted to watch it for Jennifer and her portrayal as a character with grey shades. And the early days of the show made me believe that it would go on to become a show very different from other Indian TV shows most of which are mundane and full of saas bahu crap. It had all the necessary ingredients to be a memorable show with Jennifer's brilliant act and the chemistry between two diametrically opposite characters Maya and Arjun.
But now Beyhadh has been reduced to another mundane show. The makers could not sustain the promise of the early days and if this goes on like this it will not remain memorable.
In all Indian shows the grey character is made darker and darker and in the end there is no healing or redemption for the character. Instead they have resorted to a pathetic, self righteous character in the garb of absolute whiteness to win in the end. I find this very unrealistic.
And what was the reason for making the astrological predictions come true? This is promoting superstition.
Why did the makers resort to making Beyhadh another forgettable show?
I am watching it now only for Jennifer's brilliant portrayal and still hoping for some turnaround.
Unable to bear this dusky duffer crap and the OTT acting of Saanjh and Vandana.
Okay Maya has to pay for her evil deeds but I hope these so called self righteous characters who think they are the epitomes of sainthood also pay for their faults.
