So he HAS been keeping tabs on her, as we suspected. Typically SSO of him to do this. The whole reason he hasn't gone bonkers the last 4 months is because he knows exactly where she is, and watches her. I wouldn't put it past him to be the one blocking her jobs now.
One thing is making sure she's safe and sound, another is making her fall down and suffer every time she tries to pick herself up and move on.
He proposed to her. He was going to tear the divorce papers that made her insecure, tell her he loved her and asked her to marry him because she wanted to, again. He laid his heart out there and she cruelly stepped on it.
(I'd maintain my opinion from the start that Annika should have just let Pinky carry out her threat to tell SSO about his birth. Anyway, he wouldn't have believed it coming from her. It is a family thing, not concerning her at all. This part was unconvincing to me)
So he's badly hurt and seething at her. Pinky thought just kicking Annika out would solve the issue, she had no idea how deeply her son adores his wife. She runs in his veins, she is his strength, the good side of him, his happiness. He is but a shell of the old SSO.

And when she was nearby, his sense is in high alert, like the 4 months apart never happened. Maybe just the pinpoint GPS location tracker needs updating, before he would look straight where she was, today he was a little of mark... LOL.
But that chaand bracelet always had a magnetic attraction to him. Sent itself to him so he'd know she was in Rags' house for some reason.
(This is what I think will make Samar hire Annika eventually. That SSO , the guy locking horns with him over property , is trying to manipulate and prevent her employment. The way SSO is going to duel over Happy Chawl , the same way Samar is going to claim the fair maiden this angry knight clamored for. Both guys are going to fight over Happy Chawl, symbolically over Annika. And we will root for our Bhagad Billa to win)
So he sees the Chaand charm, and realizes she was there. Having seen Samar around her at the Chawl, seeing her get employed under him with be like a open stinging wound. Losing his control over Annika is not something I can see him take lightly.
See the way he watches her. He is so attuned to her, and she doesn't realize he is there watching her. Watch as the sadness and weariness creeps into his tired eyes, face tight, holding himself back.
How easy could this be? Jump forward, shake her and insist she spits out why she did this to them. Go SSO on her, because she cannot fight you. She can fight the world but not you.
All her hurtful words were public , yet when alone she was silent, she just let him throw her out without a single word or protest. Just one look, one mournful look grieving her success in dismantling it all.
He hurts so much, but he loves her. His family is the reason for this separation. Annika cited NKK as a huge peeve for her, and all those insults from his mother had brought that. Giving expensive jewelry to Gauri but not Annika, had festered discontent in her heart.
Yes, Annika had disappointed him, but his family did too. He punishes them with his icy coldness, and he ruthlessly manipulates Annika's life so she'd break down and come to him. Shark Singh Oberoi in his prime.
that is until he finds out the truth.
Today's ShivOmRu scene brought tears to my eyeses. Poor Shivaay was scared when he saw Om's bed empty. It turned to teary relief and happiness when he stood hale and hearty before him. But I wish for a deeper conversation, Om realizing how far lost his brother is in his desolate heart broken state.
That visual, of Annika in Shivaay's eyes, shows how much this guy loves her. He is waiting for her to come back to him, say sorry, and explain why she ruined their relationship& him. After that, he might just throw her out and turn away, his anger is so roiling right now at her.
She broke him, he wants to break her back. But watching her look forlorn at the Moon, he can't help but share the pain.
