The flare up between Raman and Adi is a good portrayal of real life
The Adi whose shoe laces he would long to tie when he was a child and the court order obtainedby Ashok and Shagun o keep him from touching distance used to drive him to tears
The longing which Adi felt for his Ishima and dearest sister Ruhi who were allegedly no more because of Nidhi
Now he vies with Ruhi and the way he behaved with her over one project bears testimony to that
Now he resents his father because of whom he is in top business
But he can't see beyond his nose and thinks he is the architect of the modern wave which he exhibits
And the likes of Taneja praise him to fool him
Just like the Kanpur fellow was used to get him almost lynched for Chandan!s death
Then he left Roshni high and dry like no decent man wood in the middle of nowhere in the middle of the night
A woman who was forced upon him not because of her wish or manipulations
Adi is a hopeless character
More hopeless than Romi ever was

adi was never a perfect character from the start. even as a child cvs showed him some kind of repentance
and now too he will be repenting a big time

Yes perhaps what you say is correct
I look at this way- Aliya comes from a fractured family life to some extent so does Adi
Adi needs a wholesome influence in his life which Aliya cannot provide nor can he provide for her
Ishita was the normal girl from a normal family life and could be and is a wholesome influence on Raman
The influence required is lacking and he has become too big for his boots and ignores his parents' guidance and consistently sticks up for a wife who is skilful but always manages to get things wrong
Her Australia life has not prepared for anything.Mostly she is out of her depth.

@sumiko

your analysis was totally correct abt aditya and aliya
I don't think that they can survive in a family
without understanding things
