He gives a lot of shit about how people will receive his movie. It is not about her photoshoot, for him it is about how it affects his movie. Now he cares 10x more because of how people went bonkers after it came to light that he is going to mess with facts and probably doesn't want any defamatory press for bigger than his ego production venture. Even if it means a photoshoot that has nothing to do with the movie.
