^Probably because SRK has more upper class and NRI fans that have access to the internet and time to hang out on twitter. Many are in countries where BW movies don't release in theaters or only a few theaters that are too far away. They watch later on DVD or download from the internet.

Salman's probably more popular with people who don't have access or time for online forums. They must not be from the same demographic as SRK fans. I think he has a larger base in India itself so they are more likely to watch in theaters especially because downloading movies and such would be harder with lower internet speeds there.
