TRP = 2.97

Impressions gets increased from last week.

And KKB becomes No.1 for the consecutive weeks.

And this time No.1 in all areas.

Naagin 2 got expected beatings due to 20-21st May IPL finale weekend, also read that too many Naag's and Naagin's, and many additions to villains team have sidetracked the theme of the show making it unbearable.

May be post IPL, tracks / plots of remaining daily shows that aired last week seem to be much more boring or far fetched than KKB helping it in viewership.. ofcourse Pragya running away, her hit and miss with Abhi, Abhi reaching den and beating up goons have their own brownie points...😛 and this weeks ratings may also be high, now that after 1.5 months Abhigya meeting finally has been shown in that den..

Read that after many years ZEE again topped as no.1 channel in GEC list in week 21. Remember seeing it crumble to 5th / 6th places last 1-2 years. 👏

Dangal movie premier on Sun 21st May, continuous popularity of weekend show Saregama pa and anticipation and anxiety of Abhigya union in KKB - all as a combination did wonders to Zee.

So those wanting Balaji team and Zee to -> stop dragging by giving a logical happy ending to KKB quickly with proper Abhigya union with villains punishment -> all those demanding Abhi's ML track to be finished soon -> all those who are desperate to see end of Tanu's wedding drama -> all those who want kidnap & kill plots to finally end in KKB -> all those who are frustrated and want pace of story telling to pick up ---- pls take a bow, none of them may happen in near future in KKB with this kind of well planned methods by crew to retain viewership. 👎🏼

What is your take on KKB tops on Rural charts... There is huge rise of Impressions in Rural charts... I think it tops after so many months and honestly I have no idea whether it tops Rural charts before... How does KKB makes it possible..??

May be rural audience was also watching IPL till now.. 😛 Jokes apart, I think lot many regions of rural India is more comfortable watching free child channels of paid parent channels that urban India regularly watches..😊

Sony pal, Rishtey, Star Utsav, Zee Anmol, etc. are all free channels which telecast re-run of all those popular old serials that have ended long back on their parent channels. In that way most fresh running new TV shows haven't yet reached rural Indian households.

But still compared to Sony, Colors and Star Plus, Zee has more subscriptions and significant outreach in rural India as well being an early entrant in dish TV segments, so some of its fresh content is also being watched with some parts of paid rural market.. KKB and Saregama Pa are examples..

Now why has KKB picked up to top spot last week? may be 9pm old re-run shows on Sony pal, Rishtey, Star Utsav and Zee Anmol weren't as interesting as Zee 9pm show for rural households and also final anticipation of Abh meeting Pragya defeating goons could have been high...😃

Naagin 2 is really disappointing. The villian foramt is as same as Kumkum Bhagya. In KKB no matter what villians never get exposed. In Naagin 2 no matter how much shivangi tries to kill, yamini and shesha are still alive. And the most irritating part - the male lead is also a naag. Everyone wants to kill shivangi and shivangi wants to kill almost everyone. Damn irritating serial

thats what naagin is all abt...revenge...revenge and only revenge...😡...its highly irritating🤢...in KKB no matter how much we complaint abt the annoying tracks going for 3 bloody years...but there is positivity in Abhigya relationship...in Naagin 2 even the leads are surrounded with negativity...the entire show is negative...what to expect...

#1 again? Very suspicious!! I think channel availability has a lot to do with these ratings.

Also, it's interesting how all these ratings are for serials and not other programs. BARC seems to be measuring only serials. There have to be other programs too that are widely watched with more viewership but they're not measured.

I have read BARC shares ratings language wise and category wise not just confined for entertainment channels. The list we see in this forum is for the category Hindi GEC. Hindi movies, music, sports, lifestyle and other channels also get listed under separate TRP categories.
