Bahubhali Review - The beginning to the Conclusion

Baahubali - A movie breaking records and stereotypes.

In Rajamouli words it's a fight between 2 brothers for the throne, but did the brothers fight?

This is my take on Bahubhali - From the beginning to the conclusion.😃

I always admired Rajamouli. He is a great presenter. I am not sure if I love the commercial elements in his movie but I am a fan of his film making. I love the way he portrays emotions.😊

There will be at least one scene in his movies where you could feel tears welling up in your eyes.😛

I will cry even now when I watch the mother-son scenes in Chatrapathi. The character looked tailor made for Prabhas. Rajamouli and Prabhas me feel so. 😭😕

All this dint excite me much to watch the first part of the movie, for me it was Anushka.😛

I was waiting to see her after the first look they released and frankly I was disappointed. I was disappointed a lot about Anushka's role. I felt cheated.

When people asked me how was BB-1 I told them, it looked well visually. That was it for me. I was awe looking at the locations in the movie but now after watching everything from the beginning to the conclusion I am a fan of the characters and the story. 👍🏼

The movie begins, a wounded woman with a just born baby gets attacked or should I say a wounded woman with a baby attacks? Ramya Krishnan looked beautiful, powerful and regal in the scene.⭐️
She gives her life to save the baby. She prays for the well-being of the kid and that's when we know there is a lot that has happened before that incident.👏

The baby is adopted by a childless couple. The mother becomes possessive of the child; she doesn't want him to go back mainly because there is no safety for him there but then the child is always inclined to reach the top of the mountains. He had people around him, he dint know he dint belong there but still he was inclined to reach the place. He kept failing but he dint give up trying. His only aim was to reach the top of the mountains while his mother's only wish was stopping him. 😕

We could see how much Shivudu loves his adopted mom Sanga when he carry's the shiv ling for her.
He did not know back than that there was another mother waiting for him since 25 years but god knew it and that's is why a mask falls near him.🥳

Shivudu curiosity and determination to climb the mountains gets a push when he starts imagining a girl and climbs the mountains to reach her. ⭐️


Meanwhile we get introduced to Avantika. She is a not from the royal family like the other characters in the show. She is a soldier. Her only aim in life is to free Devasena from the cruel Bhalla.😡

She is gutsy but there is vulnerable girl behind this warrior.
I wouldn't want to comment on the falling in love phase of Shivudu and Avantika but I love how shivudu considers Avantika's ambition as his because she belongs to him. He promises to bring back Devasena for Avantika. ⭐️👍🏼

That is why Shivudu enters Mahishmathi.

We have Devasena saying "Mahishmathi, start breathing. My son has come; Bahubhali has come"⭐️👍🏼

Anushka was terrific. I love the dialogue. It showed Mahishmathi was lifeless without Bahubhali. 😳⭐️

The people of the kingdom were not happy, Devasena was tortured, and Kattapa was alive just for the sake of it. I can imagine how his days passed after killing Bahubhali and then being loyal to Bhalla.
The lifeless kingdom gets its life when the name "Bahubhali" becomes an anthem from the mouths of 1000's of people.👍🏼

Before the King realised what happened, Shivudu takes Devasena out from the palace. It wasn't difficult for him.⭐️

I loved how he could feel the pain of his mother. He doesn't know she is his mother but than his heart pains to see her like that. He cannot tolerate things said against her and that makes him to behead the man who insulted her.⭐️

Devasena raises her head with pride when her son does it. Kattapa being the loyal man he attacks the man who killed the prince of the kingdom but he is shocked to see Bahubhali and so are the people. Getting down on their knees they show him how much they respect him but shivudu is unable to understand what is happening around him. ❤️👍🏼

He questions the old man about himself and that's when we are introduced to the Mahishmathi kingdom, the raja matha Sivagami Devi and Bahubhali.😊

The most impressive scene in both the parts for me is how Sivagami handles her babies and her enemies at the same time. She politely rejects the crown and declares both her son's as equal competitors for the throne.⭐️

She is a woman who is one in a billion.⭐️ We can see how different the brothers are though they are raised by the same mother because there is the father's influence on one boy.

The babies grow up into mighty warriors. They defeat the kalakeya's with their smart and hard work.⭐️

Sivagami declares Bahubhali as the king because he is not only a warrior but a man with golden heart. He wins wars and hearts.❤️

When we are amazed at the twist in the movie we get a shocking revelation from Kattapa that he killed Bahubhali!😭

I had mixed feelings while coming out of the movie after the first part and I dint have much expectation when I went to watch the second part.😆😳😃

The movie began and the first thing showed to us was the bond between Bahubhali and Sivagami. The emotions in the movie are high that at the end of the movie I carried them outside the theater.😃
It was awesome to see Kattapa say why bhijala deva was not crowned as the king. ⭐️

The first half between Devasena and Bahubhali was filled with fun and romance. The highlight of the movie is Devasena and Bahubhali fighting the Pindaris. We can see great chemistry between the actors in that war.❤️⭐️

I loved how Amerendra was revealed to Devasena and her kingdom. It was fantastic to see him promise Devasena that he will make sure to protect her and her respect till his death. It reminded me of shivudu promise to Avantika that he considers her target as his.❤️

While I dint Love Devasena reply to Sivagami letter, I loved Devasena interaction with Sivagami in the court.⭐️

"Who are you to decide my marriage?" The scene was well written and well directed.⭐️

From Bhalla' s calculative moves to Sivagami declaring Bhalla as the king everything keeps the audiences hooked.👍🏼

It's treating to see Amerendra stand up for dharma while it's sad to see Sivagami taking a wrong decision.😭

I was sad that Bhalla was getting crowned as the king but then the oath taking ceremony was beyond words. It clearly showed you can get the place on the throne but not in people's heart.⭐️

The incident hurt Bhalla so much that he wanted to kill Bahu and Devasena's attitude to fight against any wrong happening helped him a lot. 😕

My fav scene of the movie is when Devasena chops of the fingers of the man who tries to misbehave with her and then Bahu stabs him to death. ⭐️👍🏼

While this was something which deserves appreciation, they got banned from the palace but that did not deter them. Bahu is a king! Whatever role he is given, wherever he is, he is the king.⭐️

Bhalla manipulated his mother to believe Bahu tried to kill him and got her orders to kill Bahubhali.😭😡

The extremes of emotions in the movie made me cry from the time Bahubhali says "when your next to me, no man can kill me" to Kattapa. He wouldn't have had the worst nightmare in his life that it will be Kattapa who will kill him.😭

The death of Bahubhali is one of the well shot scene. I don't think one can control their tears when Bahubhali dies like a king calling out loud "Jai Mahishmathi"😭⭐️

Kattapa understands how everything happened and he confronts Sivagami but it's all over. Sivagami, who was arrogant till than realised her mistake and asks for forgiveness but it is too late.😭

She goes against her son and declares the son of Amerendra as the king of Mahishmathi naming him Mahendra Bahubhali. Her son is cruel and decides to kill her. She was given the responsibility to save the child by the mother who acknowledged Sivagami as her mother in law for the first time. She understands Sivagami was wrong but her intentions are not wrong.👍🏼

Sivagami lives up to her word and saves the kid but Devasena gets caged by Bhalla and he thinks his mom and the baby are dead.⭐️😡

I really like how Mahendra doesn't hold grudges against Kattapa or Sivagami; infact he calls himself Sivagami's grandson and Amarendra's Heir.😃

Only thing I wish Rajamouli showed more was the bond between Devasena and her son. I felt it was too quick to attack Bhalla.😕

It was soothing to see Devasena burn Bhalla to death. Though this punishment is nothing compared to what she went through but justice was served and Mahendra gets crowned.⭐️

The movie ends with the head of the Bhalla statue falling near the shivling placed by Mahendra at the beginning of Bahubhali-1.⭐️👍🏼

I really loved the movie and I would talk about the actors in the post after this.

Sivagami Aka Ramya Krishnan

Ramya is one of my fav actresses. She is beautiful, she is a great performer and I love her dance.⭐️❤️

Ramya as Sivagami is one of the best thing for Bahubhali.⭐️

She was full of grace and looked powerful and regal.

I love each and every scene of her but here are some my fav scenes.

1. I loved how the scene where she handles the babies and the men who attack her. She was mind blowing.⭐️
2. I was so touched by her acting in the scenes which come after the death of Bahubhali. I am sure she made everyone feel how guilty she was.⭐️⭐️

Satya Raj aka Kattapa:

This man is like the backbone of the story. Satya raj was great as Kattapa. I loved his scenes with Amerendra the most.😃

I can't stop myself from feeling pity for the character at the same time I admire the strength of the character.😕

It's not easy to be Kattapa; it's not easy to be loyal to someone whom you hate.

My fav scenes of Kattapa:

1. when Kattapa tells Bijala deva that he wasn't made the king for his character.⭐️
2. When he sees Mahendra Bahubhali for the first time.⭐️⭐️

Tammanah as Avantika:

Avantika character is one of the nicely written character. Though they were mixed reviews on her character. I really admire Avantika for her efforts to reach her goal.

She was extremely beautiful in her introduction song.😳

My fav scenes of Avantika:

1. when she asks for a chance to free Devasena after she gets rejected for the tattoo.😕
2. Her fight with the men who attack her.⭐️


Nazzar aka Bhijala deva:

I would only say I hated the character so much and Nazzar made me do so.

I don't have any fav scenes because I hated him so much.😆

Rana Aka Bhallala deva.

The first thing that comes to my mind when I remember Bhalla is his Telugu diction. Rana was awesome.⭐️

He was extremely good looking😳 and I didn't hate him till he stabs a dead Bahu continuously. That was sadism.😡
He was mean, he was smart, he was calculative and he was cunning.
Rana was super and I really thank him to doing the role of Bhalla.⭐️⭐️

My fav scenes:

1. His scene with Sivagami when he rejects her gifts. 😛
2. His scene with Mahendra during the fight. I cannot forget how he says "naa thamudu kodaka" 🤢

Prabhas aka Bahubhali.

I will start with appreciating this man for his dedication for about 5 years. It was a big risk. ⭐️

Prabhas carried Amarendra's innocence, righteousness, royalty and Mahendra' s naughtiness, fun, rawness with ease. 👏

I loved him in Mr. Perfect and Mirchi because he was good looking but in this movie he touched me with his acting. 😳

My fav scenes:

1. When he lifts the shiv ling. 👏
2. When he meets Devasena for the first time. 😳
3. When he takes the oath. (His voice was enough to get us goose bumps)😳
4. His fights with the Pindaris.⭐️

Anushka - Devasena.

Being a fan of Sweety, I was so disappointed with the first Part because she wasn't shown like how I expected her to be shown but the second part made me so happy. ❤️

Devasena was a pleasant surprise and Anushka rocked in playing the arrogant princess who stands up for herself and the right, the most painful character in the story and yet so strong. ❤️⭐️

She makes us feel proud and not pity her with her attitude. ⭐️👏

Fav scenes:

1. her entry in part - 2 👏
2. When she cops of the fingers of the man who tried to touch her and the court scene.👏👏
3. When Mahendra kills Bhadra.⭐️
4. When she meets Sivagami for the first time. 😲
5. The fight along with Bahu against the Pindaris. 👏❤️
6. Well, every scene of her in the movie. 😛

Rajamouli:

What a movie, ji. He made each and every Telugu girl/ boy proud with the movie. 👏⭐️

I always admired his skill of film making though I have so many issues with the commercial elements and romance in his movie. He is the hero off-screen who made the impossible possible. ⭐️👍🏼

Keerwani:

I don't know about others but I loved the music of the film. The lyrics and the music got me more emotional in some scenes.👍🏼⭐️

I loved the "yevadanta" and "nipula swasaga" in first part and "sahore Bahubhali" "hamsa Neva" in the second part.

Special mention to his dandalaya too.⭐️⭐️

Overall, watching the movie was once in a blue moon experience for me. I really enjoyed it and I can see they are billions like me.
