The writers are swinging back and forth with the plot as if they, themselves don't know what they want the outcome for the plot to be.
Today, I saw Chandra having a neutral look on his face when Nandini was being yelled at. Normally it is of anger. Chandra actually was play-fighting with Nandini. He fell on top of her, and almost kissed her. He longed for her to say that she wanted to save him because she loves him.

He had all these soft expressions which indicate the exact opposite of what we've been shown this past week.

We've been shown extreme hate, and now it's neutralness? I'm not falling for this. I see what the writers are trying to do. They've decided that they are going to have Chandra reveal his grand scheme.

In order to do this, they will need to decrease all crap he's done. And voila, we get a suddenly changed Chandra again.

The same Chandra that called her dasi yesterday, is play-fighting with Nandini now? What is even going on? This same Chandra who humiliated a woman and threw her down, is now turning his head away to give privacy to that same woman? The same Chandra that told her that no one needs her, is asking her to admit her love for him? Di**!

Let's assume Chandra wants to be more civil because all this is part of his grand scheme. Why start now? Did you have to be an *** this entire time?

And no, it's not because Nandini saved him from the vish. He had a soft expression when Moora was yelling at Nandini. So the writers have definitely 180'd.

I wish they were able to show us a stronger plot

Agree to what you said, I had the exact same reaction to the sequence.
Pretty sure, the PH got feedback of audience not liking the current approach to the character and now CVs are making amends. IPL is ending today, so no blame can be shifted to former for low TRP now.
They need to get their act together quickly.
