Part 37: Let's Begin The Plan!
As per plan they had set up a fake coincidental meeting of Anika with Tia at her spa. They made Tia trip and Anika saved her in time, starting a general conversation, as Tia was grateful to Anika. Anika dint reveal much and left, leaving behind an impressed Tia,"Such a kind person!"
Anika and Shivaay who were watching hiding behind the wall high-fived in mirth. Tomorrow was indeed going to be a big day.
The evening:
The bell rang, Anika went up to the door, and found two men standing looking oddly at her. She looked at them questioningly.
When the taller stout fellow dressed in grey suit spoke-"Shivaay Sir! ?"
And she widened her eyes. "aap?"
Before she could receive an answer Shivaay who was sitting at the dinning table going through a few papers, said aloud-"Let them in Anika, I have called them!"
The two men walked inside and she followed them. They greeted Shivaay and stood beside the dinning table, as if a soldier on duty. She looked rather amused. She asked them to sit but they dint bulge a bit.
The shorter of the two who was dressed on a plain shirtwith formal pants and a simple blazer handed a few files to Shivaay, who still engrossed in the paper took it and kept it a side and took names of a few random companies while the man answered in figures as though a student reciting math tables to a teacher. Anika was loosing patience the three men din't feel any necessity to explain to her what was happening. And the two men looked as serious as though they were attending a funeral.
She folded her hands and gazed at Shivaay. He felt her eyes on him and looked up. And then spoke up-"Oh sorry... This is Mishra and This is Khanna..!"
Looking at The two men-"This is Anika!"
"Good evening Madam!" Both spoke in unison.
Anika looked in bewilderment "Madam?!" She whispered to herself.
"Good evening.. Aap log baithiye naa!"
The two men looked at her as though she was speaking Latin. Mishra smiled formally and nodded in a No.
The past hour was one of the weirdest for Anika, these men meant business, even as they discussed their plan, they were as solemn as they were planning for the next world war.
Shivaay- "Okay so Anika, agar tumhe koi bhi problem hogi...you contact these two..inke numbers save karlo..!"
Anika nodded.
Khanna-"Sir wo aapne Jo kapde mangaaye thee... Wo iss suitcase mein hai.!"
Shivaay nodded.
And after exchanging a few words about company stocks and mergers with Mishra both prepared to leave.
"Good Night Sir, Good Night Madam!" Both spoke in almost unison as they turned to leave. Anika yet again controlled her laughter, they were like perfect robots.
And then Khanna turned, -"Oh sorry sir ye dena bhul gaya...ye phone...!" He handed the new mobile box into his hand.
Shivaay- "Yea !"
Anika to herself-"Ek thank you bolenge toh height kam ho jaayei kya?"
Anika to Khaanna-"Khaanna Jii ye kis liye!?"
Shivaay raised an eyebrow and turned to look at her "Khanna JII?" He shook his head.
"Wo I asked him...to stay in contact with you 24x7 ! " Shivaay explained.
Khaana-"Sir , are you sure aapko kuch aur extras ki zarurat nahi hai?" He asked still unsure.
Anika amazed-"Extras? Aapke Sir phone bhi extras rakhte hain kya?" She said amused looking at Shivaay.
Shivaay rolled his eyes, before he could say anything Khanna spoke up.
"Arey nahi Ma'am wo sir ek-do din mein ek -phone toh aaram se tod lete hain!"
Anika with wide eyes-"Kya?"
Mishra-"Haan!"
Shivaay-"Ho gaya tum dono kaa.? You can leave!"
Anika-"Mr.SSO ye sahi bol rahe hai kya...itne todu-fodu insaan hain aap.!"
Shivaay stared at Anika wide eyed. "watch that Language..!"
The two men looked at Anika with dropping jaws-"SSO..!"
Anika-"Haan...Shivaay Singh Oberoi MATLAB S.S.O..!"
Khanna gulped a giggle halfway on receiving stares from his Boss.
"Okay Sir Good night" he said as he made his way to the exit.
Anika-"Kal milenge Khanna Ji...Good Night!" She said aloud at his retreating figure waving her hand in the air.
Shivaay Turning to her -"He left..!"
Anika-"Aap sach mein ...
Shivaay- "Anika..!" He cut her off.
Anika-"Okay okay...waise aaj tak...kitne tode honge aap ne.?"
Shivaay glared at her-"Anika..! Filal toh pichle kuch mahino mein ek bhi nahi...ab plan pe lage..? "
Anika-"Arey main samaj gayi...pichle ek ghante se wahi toh kar rahe hain...Maine Aastha ko bhi samjaa diya..sab set hai..!"
Shivaay- "Let's run through it once again taaki gadbad naa hoye!"
Anika-"Arey..main..
"Aniikhaa.!" He said moving back to the table.
Anika stared at him frowning-"Sadu Singh Oberoi! "
Shivaay- "You said something?"
Anika-"Maine..nahi toh..!" She pasted a sugar coated smile.
He spread the Oberoi Mansion Map on the table.She stood beside him as he explained the rooms and corridors to her. They then sat as he discussed a few more important things with her specifically about Tia. Tia was the key to enter the Oberoi Mansion.
The Next Morning:
Shivaay paced up and down the living room, looking at his watch occasionally."Ab tak nahi aayi.?"
She soon came out dressed and saw him pacing... "Kya hua aap...marathon ke liye practice kyun kar rahe hai.!"
Shivaay- "Finally, kitna time lagaati ho...
Anika looked at him baffled-" O Hello...sirf 8:30 hua hai..! Relax"
Shivaay- "Its 8:35..!" He said pulling her by her hand, and making her sit on the chair, he quickly served her breakfast, and kept asking her whether she carried all the necessary things . She couldn't help but smile at his anxiety , it reminded her of School Final Exams , she chuckled at her own comparison. He looked at her taken aback.
Shivaay- "Why are you laughing?"
Anika-"Aisa lag raha hai...ki main naa exam dene jaa rahi hoon hoon!"
He smiled and then looked at blank space his expression turning serious. She understood, his anxiety , for once she should act mature she chided herself.
"Aapne Khaya.?"
He noded on a yes.
He then gave her pepper spray , muli-pirpose knifeetc and asked her to be safe. He then gave her a hair clip.
Anika- "Isss hair clip ka kua karoon main...my hair is set...I don't need it...waise aapke paas hair clip..?" She asked looking confused. Did he wear hair clips? Of course not.
Shivaay-"Its a microphone...! Tumhaare aas paas kya baatein ho raha hai...I can hear that.!"
"O bete Ki !" She looked at the thing excitedly, as she extended her hand to take it from him.
"No don't touch..! Main fix karta hoon.!" Saying that he came towards her chair as she turned herself a little to face him he gently lifted a bunch of her front side fringes and rolled it taking it above her ear and fixed it as gently as possible.
While he worked on the thing, she was in altogether a different world. As she had turned a little to face him ,his chest was right in front of her. His scent hit her hard, she couldnt help but get lost in his perfectly manly perfume. She felt his fingers against her forehead. She tried hard to normalize herself. But was struggling to keep her thoughts straight. She shouldnt be getting this affected by him.! But she couldn't help herself.
As he finished fixing her hair, he cupped her face in his hand and raised her chin up by the other, his eyes scanned her hair, it looked just fine.
While her eyes explored his face all the way down to his lips which now had a satisfied smile. His lips parted as he said something.
Oh damn, he was saying something, What did he say? She realized and focused on his words.
He stepped back-"There you go it's perfect! "
She nodded and smiled. This guy was... Different... Very Different..! He cooked for her, he set her hair, he cared for her and then on the other end he was Khadoos, he was angry young man...A brilliant combination, Right?
She jerked out of her thoughts had she been bargaining on HIM.? What was wrong with her.! She touched her forehead and then her neck , no fever.!! Strange . She shook her head a little, trying to let those stupid thoughts fall off her brain. Better she said to herself as she took a deep breath and let it out.
He looked at her strangely noticing her antics and expressions as she spoke to herself in her head.
"Anika are you okay?" He said suspiciously.
"Haan Haan...ek dum okay!" She tried to say casually.
Shivaay- "okay !" He said scanning her expression" And yes...ye Bluetooth...!" He said taking a step closer and extending it.
Anika at once took it from him."Main Laga lungi..!"
Shivaay- "Tumse nahi hoga let me help..!" He well knew she always struggled to put it the right way.
Anika wasn't ready to let him close leat she should go down for another round of lost sanity. "Arey ho jaayega !" She started fixing, and he stood with folded arms analysing her.
"Please lag jaa..?" She whispered in her head.
He took a step close to help her but she sprang up at once andtook a step aside and backwards and it fixed.! She couldn't be happier.
"Lag gaya..!" She chirped turning to let him have a look. He rolled his eyes, this woman was one crazy person on earth!
She looked at him as though she had won Gold at Olympics. Amused-"Waiting for a trophy ??" He exclaimed sarcastically.
She gave a fake laugh and making a face carried everything." Okay main nikalti hoon..!"
Shivaay- "Just a minute..!" He disappeared and bought a small bowl of dahi-shakar. She smiled.
"Wo...!" He was looking for fancy words to express himself without sounding too Orthodox.
"I know ..!" she smiled widely and stepped forward with an open mouth. He smiled back and made her eat a spoonfull.
"Done .!" She said cloing her mouth.
He blinked saying a yes.
And then suddenly his finger reached the edge of her lips to wipe away the little curd that was stuck up there.
The spark was felt, by both. Their eyes locked. Both knew it was wrong timing and forced a formal smile looking aside.
As she walked up to him she turned to wave a bye.
He waved back -"All the best...keep your phone to yourself...and I will be connected on Bluetooth ok...?..Be Safe Please!"
She smiled.
She walked a few steps towards the lift. As he saw her retreating figure anxiety drowning him.Something was still missing.
And on impulse she walked back to him took him in a hug and smiled-"Dont worry...we have got this.!"
He smiled back.
And she left.
