Actress Shivani Tomar is looking forward to playing the lead character opposite actor Barun Sobti in the show.

Actress Shivani Tomar is looking forward to playing the lead character opposite actor Barun Sobti in the upcoming show 'Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon 3'.

The third season of the Star Plus show will mark the return of Barun on television after a five-year break. Though he will return to the show, the same can't be said about his former co-star Sanaya Irani.

The audience will get to see a fresh pair of Barun and Shivani.

Shivani said in a statement: "Yes, I will be playing the lead in the third season of 'Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon 3' opposite Barun Sobti. I am really excited about the show and my character. It's very different and I am really looking forward to the journey."

We wish her all the very best for the show.

I watched Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon for Sanaya Irani. I like Barun, but not as much as Sanaya. 😔 Shivani Tomar looks really cute and I can already see the chemistry between the two. I just wonder if the chemistry will be as intense and the show as entertaining as before? 🤔 Anyhow, I'm happy for all IPKKND fans! 👍🏼

I read it. Much as I love Baron, I think that this extension is not required. Unless there's a story about a son Arnav and Kushi, otherwise I think with another actress is not something that inspires me. I have to continue, but with Sanayi. I think. If this girl plays Kushi then it is not the same and could not make a bigger failure. Ps. My opinion.

I totally agree, Zajie! I don't know what Gul was thinking carrying this franchise forward without Sanaya. 😳 I'm sure Barun will make the show a success, but it's a huge disappointment for the fans of IPKKND. I can't think of another couple on Indian television that was more liked than Sarun. At least in this decade. 🤔 Time will tell, but I'm not that interested in following this season either.

You're right, time will tell. Frankly, I think he will not live beyond the glory that was with Sanaya. And the last 8 episodes were so viewed. Although I honestly expected a lot more. In the end, only the last episode was interesting. And yet, not so much to re-watch.

I had never imagined that ipk season 3 would also come up..

Honestly i am such a big fan of ipk season 1, (although i am yet to watch season 2) , but i did not get any news of the season 3 series coming up soon, since i am not visiting the social media very often these days.. And your post simply left me speechless..

So is this again goining to be a Gul Khan show?? Now i understand why had Gul made two back to back posts on ASR and Advaay Singh Raizada on insta some time back.. And i was wondering who can be advay, did gul make a typing error?? 🤣

Its only 6 months that i have finished watching season 1, and to be honest it was only and only the character of khusi who had got me hooked to the show..

And cant imagine anyone other than sanaya in the female lead role, especially wjen the ML is gonna be barun sobti.. Can anyone make a better onscreen pair with barun if not sanaya..

It would have been so good if we could have Sarun together again in a new show..

But an emotional fool i am, expects too much from Gul's show..

Thinking to give season 3 too a try.. Who knows, this show may succeed in living upto the expections of the IPKKND fans..

only one or two actors actresses of our choice cant be said to be the best of all.. This new actress may turn out to be really impressive in terms of actings but the character of khusi was so brilliantly carried out by Sanaya, then even today its only her who is still living in the minds of Arshi and Khusi followers..

I don't think that this season 3 will agsin have Arnav and Khusi.. Arshi's onscreen story has ended with the season 1 going off air..

Gul has already given us a hint that the new character of barun will be named Advay.. So hoping to see another girl opposite to him..

Khusi is all for Arnav.. ❤️ advay must be having someone else 😆

Oho.. So this is the reason why i feel like banging my head against the wall or on the desk everyday when i sit to watch IB and DBO..

Gul is busy making story for IPKKND season 3 aur isiliye ishqbaaaz aur Dil Bole Oberoi ka O My Maata ho gaya hai..

She is making a new show, we are fine with it but IB aur DBO ka band baja baraat kyun bana diya?? 😕😕😕 🥱🥱🥱 🤢🤢🤢

My dear Barbie. How are you? Have you passed all the exams you're ready. I want you to have the best average and to be our smartest members. As for IKRS I'm the biggest fan. I watched the series I do not know how many times and I'm always delighted acting Baron and Sanaye. And their chemistry is unreal. Nonsense I heard and read for the two of them, and now when I saw that a new actress, I thought that because of these stories is Sanaya given up recording. who knows what happened.
