I know what you mean. Something happened in QH 2 which was similar. Aahil (The ML of Season 2) came to Sanam's (FL of Season 2's) Dhaba. He made a fuss about the food and they have an argument and she ends up slapping him. He then takes this personally and comes and sets fire to her Dhaba at night. He then gives her money and says "Nayi Dabha kareed lena". A few minutes later, he hears an explosion and looks up to see his car going up in the air in flames.

Sanam then throws the money back at him and says "Nayi Gadhi Kareed lena" and walks off. Aahil watches her with grudging respect. She made an impact on him he never quite forgot.

The SAME happened here. Though they didn't focus on it enough. Om must have thought "This chic has B**ls" you know? LOL. Then he meets Jhanvi and of course, all his sympathies go to her. He finds out the "Other woman" she is referring to is Gauri, the bulldozer chic. I can imagine it must have been disappointing to him that a girl who didn't seem to take any crap from anyone, is actually not what she seemed. A few things point to Gauri being "willing" to participate in this marriage. He confronts her with Jhanvi Thakurain's situation and asks her why she is doing this? But she says she is "compelled". But Om doesn't accept it, as he thinks he has seen evidence to the contrary. His prejudice blinds him too.

Then she runs, and despite himself he helps her. However, he lands himself in trouble with KT coming to get revenge from him. Now when he comes to Bareilly to save his friend he finds Gauri in KT's mansion. She even tells him that this time she is a willing participant as she is getting the Price she named. Now what is Om supposed to think? That this is "code" for something else? He feels even more put out. He saved her and invited trouble for himself and she is shamelessly waiting to marry KT. I can understand why he hates her and why he speaks to her as he does. The issue goes a bit deeper too coz he feels used by Gauri. So now he takes what she does personally. Before it was general judgment and maybe also disappointment that she turned out to be different from what he thought.

This time around too he has been proven correct, or so it seems, He thought of her after leaving Bareilly. So it's not like he forgot her. But once again, he is confronted with a bitter reality. This time it IS personal. Now when he finds out Gauri is ChulBul, that will be like the last straw. He will feel that she's even worse than he originally thought.
