RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME
Chapter 1: Sure Thing Boss
She trailed after him jotting down notes. Her pen flew upon her paper pad as her boss spewed out the daily work load. She followed him around the spacious cabin feeling her hand cramp up after each word yet, she wrote through the throbbing pain. When her boss stopped talking, she lifted her eyes to see he had taken a seat in his favourite leather black chair. Her glasses had slid down the ridge of her nose, so she pushed them back up with her index finger.
"Is there anything else sir?" Heer Mann asked.
"No that should be all for today," her boss replied tiredly. Heer delayed her move for a moment too long as her boss commented slightly annoyed, "Did you need an invitation to leave Miss. Mann?"
Heer flushed, "No, sorry. I'll just be back with your coffee."
"Oh and Miss. Mann? Get those glasses fixed. They keep falling and it's incredibly distracting." He stated.
Her boss thought he caught her deep glare just before she walked away in a huff, making him smile slightly. Prem Juneja, at the age of 28, was one of the youngest CEO's of the country. He had taken over his father's company and took it to new heights that no one thought possible. He was known to be a workaholic and a little arrogant at times. However he was best known for his keen business sense. He knew how to strike a good business deal that no one could reject.
Prem watched Heer walk away from his cabin. She wore a dark gray pencil skirt and a crisp white dress shirt. Her black hair was always pulled back into a bun that rested on her neck. Not a single piece of hair was every out of place. Black framed glassed hid her light brown eyes and, she always wore a pair of black heels to complete her professional look.
Just then his phone rang, he looked at the caller ID and groaned. Sighing he tapped the "Accept" button.

Meanwhile Heer entered the staff room and poured the roasted dark liquid into Prem's mug. She proceeded to add precisely 2 teaspoons of milk and 1 teaspoon of sugar.
"Good morning Heer," her co-worker Jonathan greeted.
"Morning Jon. How's it going?" Heer smiled.
"So far so good. What's up with the boss today? He seems to be in one of his moods..." Jon trailed off.
Heer's eye brows knitted together in confusion, "really? I was just there a couple minutes ago. He was fine."
"I don't know man, all I know is you usually take the brunt of his anger no matter who is at fault."
Sighing Heer picked up the coffee and started walking out, "well better one person take it for the team right?''
"And we appreciate it Heer!" Jon called after her.
She stood outside his cabin. Through the large window she saw Prem talking furiously over the phone. He looked more annoyed than anything and, Heer knew what ever was being said over the phone was going to impact her day 100%.
Prem's black hair was due for a cut, so his bangs rested softly over his forehead. His face sported his signature stubble look which made him look more mature and professional. His eyes were a dark brown colour. He wore his all-time favorite black Armani suit with matching shiny black shoes. He walked with confidence and had a charming aura around him. He looked exactly like what a businessman should look like.
Heer knocked and entered the cabin upon watching Prem hang up the phone. She placed the coffee on his desk. Immediately he downed the whole mug in a matter of seconds.
Heer raised her eye brows, "you must be having a heck of a morning..."
"You have no idea." He relied back curtly. Sighing he turned to his most trusted employee. "Miss. Mann, I have a few more tasks for you today. One of which is a little...personal."
Heer nodded.
"I need you to pick out and deliver a gift for Sanjana...on my behalf." Prem said slowly.
Heer couldn't help the humor bubble up, "Miss the fashion show again?
Prem glared at her, "That is not...that is beside the point Miss. Mann. Just buy something and send it to her before the end of today."
Heer bit back her giggle, "were you looking to gift something shiny, wearable, and extremely expensive? Again?"
Prem went back to looking at his computer screen, "anything you want Miss. Mann."
Heer pushed her limits grinning, "Do you want me to include a Sorry' note?"
Prem sighed, "Is something funny to you Miss. Mann?"
Heer stopped smiling, trying to become serious. However, the scene was all too familiar to her and way too comical. "No sir."
"Then you may leave. Oh and after this little...errand, I'd like you to drop the mail and files from the downstairs office to my house." Prem notified.
Heer nodded walking out when Prem's voice stopped her again.
"I guess...the sorry note isn't such a bad idea Miss. Mann."
Heer grinned, not able to contain the humor building inside her, "Sure thing boss." With that she walked out ready to tackle the day's tasks.
