Coming here after seeing a heart wrenching enactment of a terror act on the dance floor that left me speechless and in tears 😭
I could see that Sanaya & Mohit were not acting, they were living those nerve chilling moments of the terror victims on that unforgettable day.
Want to note the moments where Sanaya jerks her body multiple times in sheer fear of the gun shots, the lady WAS feeing those emotions that shook her to the core of her being 👏
The moments inside the cupboard and towards the end where a helpless husband tries to console his slumping partner looked so real.
Mohit's expressions were good as a man trying to put up a brave front unable to console and protect his lady.

I had held my tears till the last part of the child calling out to her parents followed by the eerie silence.

The choreographer deserves a special mention for conceptualizing & executing such an impactful performance, the best of the many seasons of this show I have seen.

So true, there was that frantic-ness in their dance moments that conveyed the horror of what they are going through..

They were so much into the act, even through the judges comments and scores you could see how affected they were..

You know an act is good when even after seeing it countless times it still has the same impact as the first viewing. Each time I get drawn into it and find myself willing the lamp not to fall and make a noise, my heart jumps into my throat as they run to the cupboard and the door slams shut, I want the phone not to ring as it gets the terrorists attention and that child's voice at the end breaks my heart every single time.
Hats off to Nishant for the concept and choreography. The conceptualization of the act was superb with just the right blend of emotions and dance to show what people went through during that harrowing time. The creative department did an outstanding job with the special effects. Sanaya and Mohit -what can I say, they had me in tears, they made me feel the anguish and despair of a young couple caught in a desperate situation.
There were no lyrics to explain what the dancers were portraying, that had to be done only through their dance and they excelled in conveying that fear and despair. The part with the entangled arms, the floor work, the part in the cupboard and my personal favourite when she gives up and starts to collapse in his arms...every step telling a story that engaged me and once again appreciating how fragile life is and thst it's s a gift we should be grateful to have.

we should always keep in mind the context of the tragedy in question when judging the interpretation of artists performance on those acts. san's performance left a void in my heart . I felt that it was incomplete and felt that there should be more but as I said 26/11 left lot of ppl's lives in void and ended them abruptly and incompletely without a proper end. so I felt the act was impactful and did justice but as sanaya says there is scope for improvement

I wrote this on another post, but I'd rather continue the discussion on a positive post.
I had close relatives holed up in a room in one of the hotels under attack for four days ... by the last day, they had one apple left to eat, and no idea how many days that one apple had to last them before ...if ever ... they were rescued. Sanaya and Mohit's act brought back the terror of those days ... and how helpless and anguished the rest of the family felt that we were unable to do a thing to help them. The way they hid in the cupboard? My relatives actually did that when they heard voices in the corridor outside. They had children waiting for them too ... fortunately they made it out back to them.

I don't think it was milking the event ... I think we need to remind ourselves periodically about those days, and how lucky we are to be safe where we are. I know my relatives never forgot how lucky they were to be rescued when so many others lost their lives during those 4-5 terrible days.

This is an event which we NEED to remember .. like the Nirbhaya case, like the Hindu Muslim riots in Gujarat, like the Kargil war ... we live sheltered safe lives but we are the lucky ones, so many people are not so lucky. Sanaya and Mohit's act made me remember those days, I'm glad they chose this as an emotional act, because for me, it connected on many levels, not only as a fan.

There were many wow moments in the act ... the lamp falling in slow motion on live stage is one of my favorites ... live slow motion on stage 👏 - that deserves special mention to the choreographer as well as to San and Mohit. Not surprised Terence liked the choreography ... it was fabulous.

The whole performance and dance was indeed marvelous. I couldn't even think a better way of excuting the dance performance. Nishant did a fab job. & Sanaya Mohit were brilliant in executing each and every scene.
