Of poignant conversations and heartfelt exchanges
A poignant episode, giving us the conversation that we all have been hankering for. And the much-needed progress in the NKAK track.Because the screeching exchanges they have been having so far doesn't amount to that. A must watch.👏
-----
ShivIka have a tussle with the convicts. The one with the gun shoots his fellow convict by mistake and then aims at them, and Anika stands protectively in front of Shivaay, just like she did two weeks ago...as his shield. The convict fires and misses the mark, thankfully.
But Shivaay is not appeased. In a fit of fury, he charges at the convict, berating him for daring to aim at his wife.
"Do you know who she is...she is my wife. Tumne Shivaay Singh Oberoi ki biwi pe goli chalayi?", he fumes.
The police officer who was unconscious rises in time to shoot at the convict. But that is not important.
Anika, who was in mortal fear for Shivaay's life, ran to him and hugged him as if her life depended on it. And they stood in each other's embrace, very much aware of the danger that had bypassed them, and that had threatened to separate them from one another.
What follows is the poignant convo which we have been waiting for, ever since the jungle track commenced. Outside the Oberoi mansion, away from the scrutiny and hateful glances of Pinky...where the two of them could be themselves and pour out their innermost feelings to one another.
After consoling themselves that the other is fine, Shivaay asks Anika in a huff, all the while examining her for injuries- why did she come in between and endanger her own life? He asks her why is it necessary to come in between whenever he is in danger.
She will do the same whenever he is in trouble, and will make sure that she stands between him and any peril.
"Mein baar baar beech mein aaongi, aap manaa karenge tab bhi beech mein aaongi."
Shivaay is enraged and asks why, to which she says: "aisi hii hoon main"...to which he says, "mein aisa hii hoon."
They begin to have a conversation, finally talking about the issues that are plaguing them.
He says, he is just like her. Just like she has the urge to help people, he has this aching inbuilt need...to know. About everything. He has been like this since childhood. NKAK is wired inside him...and he is trying to change, desperately so. But as of now...he is not able to change, overnight. But he is trying to change. And he doesn't know what to do except that.
In return, she confesses her innermost fears.
What if...something from the past crops up that will endanger their future... How will they handle it together? How will he take it?
"Agar mera beeta hua kal kuch aisa nikla jisse aap hil jayein, jisse hum hil jayein...toh?"
He says,
"Humara rishta kabhi nahi hil sakta."
Because this pertains the two of them. They will be together and if any potential problem crops up... they will solve it together...just like they handled the goons. TOGETHER.👏
Because there are some trees which aren't uprooted even by storms, just like his mindset. Because he is ziddi, stubborn...so he needs time to come out of the mould of his convictions. The way Shivaay conceded his inability to change overnight was indeed endearing...especially how he tapped himself on the head and said that it will take more than a day, a week, a year. As he said...They will continue to change for one another...it is a lifelong process. It is their journey. And for a lifelong journey, the change takes longer.
So basically, he just acknowledged that what they have is forever. For a lifetime. What do we need more than that!😳⭐️
I also loved how he said that while he takes his time, it is their responsibility, as a couple, to ensure that things don't change, that the bedrock of their relationship remains as strong as ever. Because they have accepted each other for who they are.
Okay since the resident poet of the Oberoi mansion is not there😆, the policeman chips in with a shayari of his own about how journeys can be long and difficult...but all can be endured if lovers have each other's company.
Their adventures are finally over, as Shivaay himself puts it...so they go hand in hand, feeling all the more lighter for their confession/conversation.
