I must say this bcz
1)His first love was juhi.
2)secondly he is so happy to be friend with ananya.
3)and last he is so happy that his marriage is fixed with riya.

Yes he was in love with Juhi but she's no more then he should be move on so he tried! Now his heart is stuck with Avni but doing marriage with Riya as it's arranged! Maybe he didn't want to do love marriage as for him it will be unfair to Juhi!
