I had wanted to make this post immediately after the episode. But didnt get time. So making it now. The reason Saanjh lost is because she did a crime. What was that crime. Asked a key eye witness not to come to court because she felt his testimony will go against what she wants. Now a criminal can do such things. They are expected to do such things. But a lawyer who knows law, who has the power with her to give justice shouldn't be doing it. A lawyer's job is defending the client against all the accusations in terms of every proof that opposition can bring. A lawyer also has to look objectively at the case. Strong and weak points of the case. If she has a weakness in any testimony, then supporting documents/evidences needs to be provided.
If the crime of asking Samay not to come was not enough, Saanjh did another funda. She went and claimed where she is truth is there. Then she accused another woman characterless. If you want to accuse someone, first and foremost needed is keep your slate clean. After committing the crime ( I will repeat crime of asking eye witness not to come) you come with a holy cloak and pronounce judgement on another woman.
Yes she is manipulative, maybe a criminal. What is you. The one who knows law. She has only experience and her actions are based on experience. Your actions has to be based on law, because you know that perfectly. When you asked Samay not to come was that in line with the law you studied.
How did you decide Samay's testimony will go against you. The only reason it went against was you tried to keep him away. He was summoned. He told what he saw, what he heard and what he felt. Every bit of it was truth. If you could just question his feelings you would have reached the truth. Yes it might have even proved Maya bad and mad, but not for the staged rape attempt but for being the obsessive wife she is and Ayan would have got punishment for physical assault and intimidation. The balance would have been corrected. Even it might have helped Maya to get some consular access, or Arjun to get a divorce or maybe with the help of a psychiatrist Maya would have been able to start a fresh life with Arjun. Any of the normal, sane possibilities were there
The journey from Maya's perception to Samay's truth would have helped everyone including yourself. But for that to happen you should have bought Samay and put him in the witness stand. Then your questioning , cross examination should be based on his testimony. For any one who is with truth, you dont run away from eye witness. Because you need eye witness to establish truth. Doesnt a lawyer know this. Yes a lawyer knows this very much. But a lawyer also knows if you are not in the side of truth the eye witness becomes the biggest stumbling block. Because eye witness can hamper the chances of her client.
Dusky lost because she was not with truth. Ayan got the punishment he didnt deserve because his lawyer's objective was not giving him justice, her objective was defeating Maya. If his lawyer trusted him completely she wouldnt have run away from putting the eye witness on the stand. So somewhere she didnt trust her client enough but used him as a pawn to get even with Maya.
Balance is not right. That's why when Maya was speaking the balance of Goddess of justice was shown. She doesnt see. She hears, she hears every argument and balance it out. When Samay came Bhagavat Gita was shown to him. I dont remember that book being shown to anyone else. Maybe CVs wanted to highlight the importance of Samay and his truth.
He came later, after the world had heard Maya's feelings and saw Maya's wounds. So there was no one to evaluate what he told dispassionately.
I loved the question Maya's lawyer asked Dusky when she says everything is a lie " So does this mean your fiancee also has lied".
Will Dusky learn. Will Dusky stop being a self proclaimed Goddess and will try to evaluate where she went wrong. Or Will she go to collect more proofs about Maya being mad and bad and continue being a Goddess, justifying every act of hers to bring down Maya.
I had an analysis of dusky in the beginning of the show. If Dusky stop being self proclaimed Goddess she can show a path to Maya which I had wanted very much. But if Dusky goes for proving Maya bad and mad and if she is willing to break any rules for that then the Dusky I had liked will be lost forever.
