The reason I don't like Saanjh is probably the holyer then thou attitude. I honestly don't like that in any fictional character or in real people. Many fictional characters and real people have annoyed me because of that.
Saanjh is a good friend to Arjun. She saw that something was wrong and tried to help him and that's what a good friend is supposed to do. And she tried to help him even after what he did to her. Say what you want about her but she has been a good friend to Arjun. Atleast before the court drama. She on her one way always tried to help him. And that makes her a good friend. She is in love with him and have done some stupid stuff because of that, but that does not make her bad, but her actions wrong.
Saanjh just like any other human being and she to like others makes mistakes. And alot of what people are using against her are mistakes. For me mistakes are something you do without indenting to. Wrongdoing is something you do even when you know it's wrong. Every character in this serie has made mistakes, just like people in real life. And that's is why holyer then thou attitude annoyes me. Because when you start to preach about doing the right thing and judging other people it seems like you pretending to not having done anything wrong, never to have made a mistake, to never have lied. When you start pointing fingers at other people when you yourself aren't always right, annoyes me. That is the part of her that I don't like in this season. In the first season it was her running after Arjun all the time. And even Maya annoyed me when Arjun hated her and she kept throwing her self at him. I almost started to hate her because of that. I never liked that in a fictional female character. It devalues them and make them into one dimensional character.
I started to watch this show because of Jennifer. I liked Mayas attitude in the beginning. I sympathize with her in the beginning. I wanted her to finally to be happy after everything that had happened to her, but then she started to lie, manipulate and break people's relationships. She had her reason, but those reasons do not justify her actions. But why do I still like her? Because I have watched 132 episodes and none of the other characters has made like them even when they were right and she wrong. I do find Samay interesting, but that is because we know so little about him and there is definitely something there. I condem Mayas actions and want to be exposed to the world for what she really is. And Saanjh is doing that. Maya is being exposed and punished. But I still find Saanjh annoying. Probably because she seems arrogant, because she is mocking people and being cunning. I seriously don't like her attitude right now. She is supposed to be good and one thing I hate the most is when people who act good and do what she is doing. It's called hypocrisy. And that is something I hate more than anything.
Maya is interesting and that is why I like her and that does not mean I support her actions or find them justified. Alot of villains are liked by people, like Darth Vader. Like the joker from Batman. That dose not mean people support them or there actions, but like them because they make the story interesting. And atleast to me she is the one that makes this show interesting and worth watching.
