I think today's episode was really good and kind of set the foundation for how the story will proceed for the next few months.
Vandana, Ayaan are completely against Maya and Arjun now. I don't think Vandana will be ready to forgive Arjun anytime soon and won't let Ayaan talk to Arjun too so I guess Arjun's relation with his family is pretty much done for good till he officially breaks up with Maya.
Saanjh is pissed off with him now but I think she will still be more sympathetic towards him and more forgiving of his actions in the long run. That's just how her character has always been so I don't expect that to change.
Also, I think Ayaan might lose this case due to circumstantial evidence OR he will almost be about to lose but Maya will take back the case at the last moment to maybe show how "good" she is or "forgiving" she is and to ensure that Arjun is even more indebted to her. It's too early for all of Maya's manipulations to come out.
Samay still seems to be on the fence. Still not sure who he will side with. If Samay is "obsessively" in love with Maya as he claims (or so he wants Maya to believe) then he should side with Maya or else she will never believe anything he tells her. If he sides with Maya then he will lose his cover as Saanjh's Bf as Saanjh might not forgive him, if his testimony implicates Ayaan. I think which side he choses to side with will have a huge bearing on the outcome of the case. Also, his being Maya's ex and him still being in love with Maya has to serve some purpose in the story right? If he simply sides with Ayaan then his angle with Maya is pretty much dead.
Arjun surprised me today. I can understand him feeling guilty and maybe feeling sorry for Maya, but how did he suddenly go from hating Maya and wishing she dead to claiming that Maya is his jaan and that he will break if anything happens to her?? How and from where did all this love suddenly surface?? It seems really illogical that Arjun, who knows exactly what both Maya and Ayaan are capable of, will so easily believe Maya and accuse Ayaan of actually doing something like this. He was not even shown trying to hear Ayaan's side of the story which is surprising considering how close he is to Ayaan. Also, Arjun telling Maya that he trusts her more than he trusts himself?? What was that??? Since when does he trust her soo much??😕
I think this can play out two ways:
1. He is prentending to trust and love Maya to save Ayaan from her wrath. He purposely told Ayaan and Vandana all the sautela dialogues, to anger them so that they will stop trying to help him and they drop out of Maya's radar. He will secretly help Saanjh by giving her evidence against Maya. Arjun knows that Maya will go all out to destroy Ayaan if she thinks Arjun is siding with Ayaan so this is his plan to save Ayaan. I think the ultimate betrayal by Arjun will finally make Maya against him and the last phase of beyhadh will be Maya actively trying to destroy Arjun and avenge him for betraying her. Till now Maya has only "loved" Arjun and everything she has done has been to keep him all to herself. She has not intentionally tried to harm him. In her head she thinks that what she is doing is right for him. I think the last phase of the show will be her hating him and intentionally trying to destroy his life like Amy in GG.
2. Arjun has suddenly realised his love for Maya (he did fall in love the first time out of the blue too). Maya's constant "don't touch me" and "I am dirty", "I am not worthy of you" etc is going to make him try to prove to her that there is nothing wrong with her and that he is perfectly fine to get close to her. This might lead to them sleeping together again and Maya becoming pregnant for real. Hence the constant dialogues by Maya that she wants to get pregnant. Arjun will stick with Maya for the baby and I think this time she might actually have the baby. The last phase will be her as a mother. Now how that baby affects her and changes her and how the story progresses from there we will have to wait and see. Also for Vandy's shraaps (how regressive is this show ) to play out Arjun has to stay with Maya for a while.
In either of the above 2 scenarios can't think of what role Samay will play w.r.t Maya-Arjun. That'll be interesting to see.
Maya...Maya...Maya. What to say about her? Her reactions and dialogues as of now don't make it look like she is lying but then Jhanvi's reaction, Ayaan's confidence that he din't do anything and Maya's past history all point towards this being an act and her faking all this to get Arjun on her side again.
That being said I really don't want her to be faking it this time. It's really convenient and annoying how EVERYTHING is supposed to be Maya's manipulation. Everything she plans happens exactly like she wants, everyone behaves exactly like she wants, everyone says exactly what she wants, everyone sees exactly what she wants them to see. I mean it's just not realistically possible AT ALL.😳 Maya is not God. She is not a puppet master and everyone else her puppets who just do what she makes them do. Don't the other characters have a brain of their own, can't they make their own decisions and deductions of situations?? Can't they also plan and manipulate the situation to expose her when they know that she is lying. Why are none of the characters shown to have the smarts to trump Maya at her game?
I would like to see Maya falter sometimes, her calculations go wrong at times, people not reacting the way she wants and she having to face the consequences of that. When only one character wins ALL THE TIME and everyone else just keeps falling into her trap again and again and again, it gets really boring. In a thriller, the thrill has to be 2 ways, there has to be 2 equally strong and competent players trying to outdo each other, every Sherlock needs a Moriarty, every Michael Scofield needs an Alexander Mahone. However brilliant a manipulator Maya is she still cannot get it right every single time. Whether Maya is ultimately supposed to be grey or dark she still needs to win some and lose some for the thrill factor to remain.
It will be super annoying if she is going to be shown winning till the last few episodes when her truth might actually come out. That's not how good thrillers work.
So I hope they show that Maya is actually not faking it here and Ayaan (had no intention of rape) but really did try to sexually intimidate her (to scare her?) and is now denying everything because he knows everyone will believe him over Maya. Saanjh is able to prove Maya wrong and Arjun and Jhanvi also side with Ayaan and don't believe Maya. Maya loses the case, and then we see Ayaan telling her that she finally got a taste of her own medicine. She manipulated situations and made his brother look bad, now he manipulated the situation and made her look bad even though she was right in this situation. And Maya has a "boy who cried wolf" situation where nobody believes her. I am dying for some other character to finally grow some balls to stand up and give Maya tit for tat. That's when the show will be fun to watch.
