so don't you think that Salaam Zindagi, which is an attempt at a fresh new story is kind of a copy of Left Right Left? I mean come on,
1. another academy, Manya is like Naina. Both need to prove themselves for their father/dadu and brother/parents respectively.
2. And both have panjabi funny characters: Huda and Sanju.
3. Tapori language speaking ppls: Alekh and Om
4. Both also have the crazy girls that speak in weird languages: Pooja (speaks in mobile/cell phone language and Kiran in Salaam Zindagi who speaks in weird plan A and plan B language.
5. crazy teachers vs. nice teachers:
Salaam Zindagi- Khanna and the lady teacher
LRL- Brigadier Chandok/later that crazy dude who gives them weird tests and Raj/Rajeev's character
----even in LRL the tough teachers have views against girls and say, quoted exactly: "agar mera bas chalta to main is academy mein ek bhi aurat ko bharti nahi karta"
6. Suri ji of LRL = Salaam Zindagi's helper faculty who goes camping with them.
Gosh! There are soooo many similarities. Only LRL had a much stronger story and a strong cast when it initially started. Also, the story even though it revolved around Naina's storyline, it gave a chance to portray different characters who were battling with their own strengths and weaknesses. Each character was unique and had a story to tell. It was awesome. But i only saw the first season.
And what's with tv nowadays? All the fresh shows seem to all want to portray students of some academy:
1. LRL- army training
2. Choona Hai Aasmaan- Air Force
3. Salaam Zindagi- Police Force
Thankfully this show will have a love story line that's between students and no teachers. And, Manya's main problem is over now. So wonder where the story will go.
By the way, agree, truck scene was too awesome.
