So pls don't tell me a 9 yr old girl can't contact police!!!! It's ridiculous. That too in India it's much easier..Coz u have more ppl outside and neighbors r more friendly.

And Maya is not another Ashwin. We still don't know what's thier past.so don't come to conclusions. Nobody knows who is right n who is wrong. It's still a mystery. What happened to Maya when she was 9 u know??

There is something more to mehrotra family. Y she dint call cops, .. big question.

@Veronica Maya had gone to police station as a child. There is an initial episode where Ashwin beats her badly telling " how dare you go to police station and complain against me ". What I understood at that point is that law has failed child Maya. Law didnt protect the child. Law was with the man who tortured her. Then she learned to bend the rules as only unlawful person escapes as per her.

Yes we can go to police, but will justice be given. It took Sabrina Lal and continuous media campaign to put a Manu Sharma behind the bars.

In the case of Suryanelli Rape case in kerala high court let go of all the culprits telling it was not rape the act was consensual. it took a Nirbhaya for the suryanelli girl to finally get the justice say after 19 years. Case is still running in Supreme Court. A key accused in this case is a Rajya Sabha member.

Some people have the patience to follow it through the law, some people just twist to suit their purpose to survive which most probably Maya has done after her brush with law at the age of 9.

It's a question for individuals. So? I didn't know how to contact cops when I was 9. Again my childhood was normal, so I cant predict how child should react? but as an adult I would never become another ashwin. Maya is like ashwin is my opinion, I didn't ask you to agree with me. Let's mystery get solved, I will change my opinion if Maya comes out as an innocent. Right now she's female version of Ashwin.

nothing anyone say can justify maya's behaviour ok she had a troubled past but she lied and manipulated every situation is hell bent to get what she wants (her boy toy Arjun) she doesnt love arjun thats not obsessive love thats mania. she just dont want to accept that she is in a failed relationship. Maya is becoming ashwin no. 2 as she will do anything to get what she wants

There is both Jhanvi and Ashwin in Maya. Unfortunately, Maya has inherited both her parents' genes. She can be ruthless & destructive like Ashwin. And she's also so enamored by the idea of love of Arjun that she refuses to see anything else. She's hellbent on acquiring and reatining Arjun to the extent that she's blind to see anyone else's agony or torment. Just like Jhanvi always overlooked Maya's pain to obtain Ashwin's non existent love. She knows nothing better than either victimizing herself or making others the victim of her brutality.
