Even i thought that she might be in trauma and would have felt that she is not good enough for Dev and/or she can't give her loving family what they wanted but I don't think she would quit if her family would have loved her nonetheless. That just ain't Sona's character.. to stop fighting. She only left Dev when he failed to give her support during that period and (supposedly) gave many wounds to her family after he threw them out.

Dev is good in many ways knowing she can't conceive he married her that's big high we can't ignore that greatness in him .
But sona always been a principled in life truthfulness is big thing for her she felt bitrayed by dev because she didn't like the fact dev hid that from her and her mom ish .she felt his mom changed after knowing she is pregnant and Indian society is such they believe with kids couple complete each other ( nonsense).
Dev big hurdle was his mom instead of understanding sona problem she only did big hungama about hiding things and sona responsible of changing dev blah blah that temple drama to honeymoon drama she irritated dev the most the thing with dev is he couldn't handle his mom and he was so stuffed he couldn't console sona .
Sona was so heart broken and felt alone in this when such situations needed couple to be one team .
Even sona felt what if things don't work she had her fear will ish except her as daughter in law she expressed it to dev but he was so much over powered by ish he looked for instant solutions than permanent trying to make his mom understand it was not easy to him because ish can go to any extent the sleeping pills episode really shook dev the most till now he fears that's why dev and mamaji don't try to make her understand because she is stubborn and dangerous too.
Infertility in women is big thing in women's life turmoil which women go through its hell .they need husbands support more than parents if husbands assure them they feel eased out but sona never got that from dev not that dev ignored her it's that dev was stuffed .in honeymoon too ish only embarrassed sona by revealing to the staffs that she had a problem.
I think the relationship would have broke anyway thanks to ish .
Ish believes that with kids women is complete hope her believes go crashing when her own daughters face such situations till then she won't realize the pain which sona faced and want dev to taunt ish u too did the same so deal with it types .


If dev and ish supported sona why would she leave she would have been happy and devakshi would have adopted a kid if ish was free spirited lady

So, basically he ruined it for her. After the first break up, she was convinced by him/Ish that he wont leave her again on the whims of her mother. That actually happened and prenup was the nail in the coffin.

Infertility was never the reason for her quitting. She was frustrated though. But she would fight with Dev , not leave him for this.
