Dancers were considered to be a different class of society, were they not?😕 This was not a respectable art to learn... not for women from decent households... dancers were entertainers (whether classical/sensual dancers) for the higher strata of society. The fact that they've decided to use a dancer for Kashibai's role makes me go 😕

Precisely! I didn't like this girl in the first place. Usually I have never felt anything on this show being anachronistic to that era. But this is an exception. Dance and dancing was looked down by people of those days. Tying a ghungroo meant you were a person who seduced and entertained.
