Also not forgetting her rumoured affairs from Ajay Devgn, Aditya Pancholi, Suman Kid, Bhatt's, Roshan's etc

It seems rather than her work, her alleged affairs put her in limelight

She was never a crowd puller. Whatever success she had is because she chose good scripts that found its audience through word of mouth. Other than that her entire hype is through controversies and her accusations that she showers on everyone like candies.

fact - recenly BKD was a huge success and the credit mostly is given to varun which means every one acknowledges that alia despite being on a roll has little contribution in the opening numbers

even phillauri which is essentially anushka sharma film's opening was given to dilip dosanjh's presence .

So admit it or not , women in bollywood are just a showpiece and it is not going to change at the moment.

You can't blame heros or Bollywood industry


Same industry will treat every god damn women centric films like an entry to oscars. Don't say Bollywood treats them like showpiece

Truth is it's the audiences. They make the final verdict. Obviously the bigger star is likely to walk away with the credit just like the way they'll be blamed for its failure. So try to look at it both ways then coming up with conclusion

The same audiences who made TWMR success are the ones who made Rangoon and Katti Batti major failures

It's just easy to blame it on the likes Karan Johar and industry. Why would people wanna invest on things that will result to major loss of money?

Since where were actors were able to bring audiences regardless of the script to the theaters, other than khans? To even expect them to do such thing is bizarre. If script is not something that connects with audience than how is an actor supposed to change that? And despite people always undermining kang and her efforts, TWMR benefited ALOT from her portrayals of datto and tanu, so did Queen from her portrayal of rani. She might not bring audiences to films that doesn't connect with them at all like rangoon, but she definitely elevates the scripts that are even mediocre through her acting and portrayals. And heck, beyond salman, I don't know which actor brings people to theaters regardless of how the movie actually is? No one. Even aamir needs solid scripts to succeed.

But whatever, Relying on directors can always give her mixed basket of results due to no control over scripts. Let's how she does when everything is under her control. I'm looking forward to that day! And most importantly, she keenly assesses which movies of hers work, which ones don't so I can definitely count on her to improve her script sense even more in the future. She has started getting lead roles only in the last 3 years after Queen's success, so I think she deserves leeway to find her footing.
