Remember the episode with Dixit family portrait. In that episode after the fiasco when Dev takes Sonakshi to her home. On the way they discuss the happenings and Dev tells that he had imagined that they would take more pics and his family would like to take pics with Sonakshi and so on.

Similarly Dev had always wanted to play with his daughter, then tell her bedtime stories and spend time with her. he also wanted to be the one who would be kind of the fun parent and he would be the one to whom his daughter listens to. Like how he made the khada drink. Like how Soha said she does not want to change her dress and go to sleep. And he was able to convince her otherwise.

Dev is a guy who likes simple things and has simple dreams. 😆
