Ravish - Champion hero of jndsd
Ravish is a very straight forward, no-nonsense character with an intelligence which helps him make quick sliver judgements without patronising anyone. You get what you see. He is never ever under any kind of internal emotional conflict. He knows what is the best thing to be done in any situation and he does it without any hesitation. As a rule he is very harsh upon himself, always, n puts himself in detrimental conditions quite often for the general benefit of others.
He follows his words by action himself, always n in all circumstances. No empty rhetoric for him.Though desirous of affection of others he has shown no major preference for acceptance by others. Hence no patronising on his part, irrespective of the relation n circumstances. He always reduces complex problem into a simple one. Neither does he ever place the burden of justice on others. He carries out the corrective action on his own.
Ravish is dedicated to a fault to his principle of work is worship and unfaltering commitments. He has never shown any particular affiliation to any deity nor any ritual, yet has always respects others beliefs n their corresponding demands n needs. Rest of the characters in spite of their worded speeches on denouncement of rituals n social acceptance have always fallen prey to and practiced rituals - e.g.: following a favourite deity ,its accompanying rituals ,wearing rudraksh, touching elders feet for blessings etc. Contrast!!
Ravish high sense of responsibility has placed all other characters, with passage of time, under his patronage since his arrival. He has never shied away from any of his responsibilities, yet never expects nor demands anything from others. It's a one way street for him!!
Ravish will get his Madonna sooner than later, without doubt.
Shashank charisma lends an aura to ravish elevating him to a level of prominence and at the same time shasha talent refuses to let Ravish fall in to the ordinary at any point of time. Yes, Ravish would never have been so interesting without Shasha.
Shasha you are awesomely superb as Ravish. He's all the more adorable because of you.
Shashank you are the forever handsome superstar.
Until our Captain comes back into his elements enjoy spring outdoors, n let forum triumph
Cheers

Very true. Ravish has prudence- he has the knowledge of what to do when, AND he has the courage to carry it out. He doesn't necessarily do what FEELS good, but rather what IS good.

Exactly! In a society where people are so quick to point fingers at one another for their faults, this is remarkable 👏 And this is one of the greatest ironies of life: self- absorbed people constantly focus on what others should do right whereas selfless people focus on they themselves should do right (Ravish is a model of this.)
He has never shied away from any of his responsibilities, yet never expects nor demands anything from others. It's a one way street for him!!The best part of this all is that despite Ravish never exactly having "happy" situations, he IS a happy man. He is a man on the path toward fulfillment, he is satisfied because he chooses to act according to his conscience (and THANK GOD he has a well- informed conscience).

Bang on! A character could be perfectly written on paper, but whether the brilliance is conveyed to the audience or not is majorly dependent on the actor. Shashank scores majorly in this. Captain Ravish would not be who he is if not for Shashank who lives in this role. I honestly have no words to describe Shashank's immense talent. Such a versatile actor he is. He is not just handsome, there's something more to his looks, a kind of pure radiance (especially in his eyes) that adds on to his awesome portrayal of Captain Ravish. AND to add on, his voice modulation for the role is sheer beauty. Such a calm and soothing quality...
I can't agree more with your beautiful write up on Captain Ravish. Simply put, he is a man of virtue. His virtuous nature is revealed in so many circumstances, one of my favourites is when he tells Sujata that they don't need to be thankful to him as he hasn't given anything, rather he has received so much. One's outlook on life shapes their behaviour greatly, and this is clearly seen in the person of Ravish. The way he handles situations... I could just go on...
It's disappointing how people glorify the scene where Vividha refers to Madhav as "our child", happily contrasting it with the scene where she verbally snatches from Ravish his authority over Madhav. This serial has repeatedly rejected "goodness" in the name of modernity. Modernity is not about blindly rejecting things of the past in favour of a system that allows one to act according to their wishes, taking into regard no other factor, ONLY what their heart desires. Sadly, JNDSD supports such thinking. It's a pleasant surprise that this serial has produced such a beautiful character. 😊 A true hero we should all emulate, not because he saves a damsel in distress by fighting 10 goons (though he definitely is capable of that too 😆) but because he has understood what life is truly about AND lives according to what he has understood 👍🏼
