Parshu, Ishu, Gotya, and I
were made captives by Dandak the sly eye
He beat and enslaved us
And made us stack logs while he cussed
There were times I feared
He would split one of us into two like a stave
I prayed to God for strength
And loudly cried, 'Har har Mahadev'
I told myself I would starve
before I took the food he threw at me
but I did not starve
For my mother stealthily followed him to our cave
And overcame Dandak the knave
