Bharat Bhushan was successful, but I am not sure if he was a huge star for a long time.

Bharat Bhushan was quite successful but these people never saved much for themselves..read he was seen begging at VT station in early 90s..not sure if he is still alive..

Pradeep Kumar was a big name and it is said he used to buy latest cars every year..saw him last in some ramsey horror movies..again not sure whether he is alive..his daughter beena played mom to khans in 90s movies..

^^Yeah, Bharat Bhushan squandered all his wealth and died penniless in the 90s.

Bhagwan Dada (director and actor) saw his films failing after the huge success of Albela and he stopped getting work even though he tried very hard. He had to move to a chawl and died in poverty.

The dancer Cuckoo (who was a popular dancer like Helen) also died in poverty.

Vimmi, who made an envious debut in Hamraz, didn't taste success again, and died due to her alcohol addiction in her early thirties.

So many tragic stories.

@blue really sad..When she died, there was not enough money to even cremate her. She was taken on a 'thela' by couple of other well-wishers to the Santacruz crematorium.
